It's a little man who has tamed and rides space. That sounds horrifying.

Cine Europe Prometheus Report

http://www.avpgalaxy.net/2011/06/29/cin ... us-report/

The possible plot has been leak as well.

Earth. year 2058.

Archaeological digs in Africa reveal alien artifacts that humans were genetically engineered by a advanced alien race (space jockeys) These "Alien Gods" also terraformed Earth in order to make it habitable for their human creations. Amongst finds are coordinates to the Alien God's home-world, to Paradise. Months later the Weyland Corp launch the spaceship PROMETHEUS and his crew, into deep space to make first contact. Thanks to faster than light travel a few years later the PROMETHEUS enters the Zeta Riticuli star system. Humans are greeted by their makers, then transported further into space to a scary yet fascinating world. The Alien Gods are proud of their "children", their first creation to reach such levels of intelligence.

As a reward they share bits of their astonishing bio-based technologies with the humans. But for one crew member of the Prometheus it's not enough. In a treacherous act he steals the "bio-source code" to Terraforming, a technology at the origin of all Gods' power, that could make humans equal to the gods. The Alien Gods may be scientists but are also ruthless conquerors, destroyers of worlds who will not accept humans as equals. They unleash on the escaping human crew their favorite bio-weapon, a creature used to "clean up" worlds before colonization. But something goes wrong in the process and humans manage to turn the bio-weapon against their makers. Giving birth to a smarter, nastier, bigger breed of gut eating creatures.
Creatures that will be the demise of Paradise. What's left of the Prometheus crew manages to escape the doomed planet.

On their trail a survivor Alien God in very familiar ship with one ultimate mission.

Bring the wrath of the Gods to Earth.

That plot sounds nice. Very nice indeed.

For some reason, whenI try and envision the movie based on the plot given here, I imagine the Space Jockeys unleashing... Ridley, of all things. It would be awsome if he did make a tiny Lawyer-Firendly Cemeo in the movie, though that's not going to happen...

but still. Space Dragon vs. Xenos... HELL YEAH!

This film is sounding better and better as time goes on. I'm glad they are sticking with the Space Jokey story because, frankly, the Space Jokey was the most interesting part of Alien. I'm also glad they are not making this a direct Alien film, though, it in the same universe. The Alien franchise is just too full bullshit... oh, wait, AH has been banned.

Apparently joblo.com contacted Fox about the rumoured plot:

Take this w/ a grain of salt but Fox says that supposed "Prometheus" synopsis is "way off"...

I think the plot sound cool, fans where like "This sounds so awful!".

Looks like I'm looking more forward with the film now but the PG-13 rating puts me down though. The movie sounds pretty amazing.

I am so pumped for this movie. Ever since it was stated that Ridley Scott was coming back it instantly hooked me

From what I've gathered, it's not directly linked to the ALIEN storyline, but it's more of a sidequel. I just made that word up. Got a problem?

That's because it does sound awful. The Space Jockeys were supposed to be on the way extinction way before humans ever made it into the modern era (aka few left, not a planet full), Xeno's were not "modified" by humans, etc. They didn't create humans either. I have my doubts that plot was actually real, because it pisses over a bunch of canon facts of the alien universe on top of being just awful.

^Good point but it not bad as the plot idea that the BS had for AVP3 (A King Alien) or most stories that where created in the EU. The PG-13 rating still turns me off since you can't have a Alien film if it's PG-13. The Matrix films, 300 and Terminator 1-3 all did well at the box office and where able to make back their budget.

I never thought the aliens had a "canon" origin to begin with. Stuff is suggested but it was never explained in detail.

Yeah, I agree entirely. The Jokey corpse and ship were old enough o be fossilized. Adding humans into the mix was a disappointed for me. I was excited at the precept of a film entirely casted with aliens, but I don't think the movie goers are ready for that.

I think you can. Watch Alien and without the multiple uses of the f bomb, I'd say you have a film that fits the modern PG13 fim style. As long as they don't pack if full of uneeded cursing and unwanted gore, than they could make a movie just as scary as Alien but have it be PG13. Just my 2 cents.
