Yes. I didn't know BB was Gar.

You lost faith? Im sorry? This is possibly the best DC animated feature since BTAS.

I didn't say I LOST faith. It's just that I wasn't thrilled with the first episode of the season. Too much happened in the timeskip, and none of it was addressed at all. I even said at the end of my post that, judging by how the first season came together at the end, that most of my issues would be addressed as this season progressed. And that's looking to be the case.

The first season ended like the series couldve ended right there and been good. But Season 2 is making you want to learn more, and keep watching. It's what happened with Teen Titans. It became villain on the week blah after season 2. And Batman Beyond as well.

One word for this past Saturdays episode- Awesome! Great to see the JL members and their YJ protege's working together. Aqualad/Black Manta's son reveal was surprising-but well played.

As for "The competition" for the Kroletean invasion, my guess is "The Reach" (The race that created the Scarabs for Blue Beetle) based on clues in the episode, but I think overall there are several alien species that will play a part in this "Inavasion" of Earth.

I knew Aqualad was Black Manta's son... he's based off the New Earth Aqualad introduced in Brightest Day.

Well new episodes are Back (finally!) and this weekends was pretty good.

Season 2 Episode 11 "Cornered" (taken from wikipedia)

April 1: Despero sets his sights on Earth's champions, attacking the Hall of Justice while the members of the Team who used to live at the Cave are at the Hall to remove their belongings. Mal becomes the new Guardian to help in the battle. Elsewhere, Captain Atom attends a private meeting with the Reach ambassador and Black Canary interviews the Team members and teenagers abducted by the Reach with some of the teenagers consisting of Tye Longshadow and Virgil Hawkins.
April 2: The Reach ambassador uses his technology to remove the dome Despero had created around the Hall, but exposes the existence of the Watchtower to the public which G. Gordon Godfrey uses as ammunition against the Justice League on his show. M'gann decides to take up residence at J'onn's apartment, where Conner confronts her about her strange behaviour during the battle. Meanwhile, Black Canary shares her deductions about the Reach with her teammates. Against the wishes of Impulse and the Scarab, Jaime informs the League about his role in the Reach Apocalypse of Bart's time and asks that they find a way to get the Scarab off him.

I'll have to do some research on Despero. I know he's up there on the list of "big bads" from DC, but every time he appears in Animaiton, he is drastcially different. I'd like to know which of his interpretations (Justice League, Batman B&B, or YJ) was most accurate I thought he was a Gren Lantern villain, but I could be wrong. Also it was interesting to see Static Shock get a cameo (even voiced by Phil Lamarr who did the original). Every time I think a certain character wont appear because of "limitaitons" I am always surprised. At this point, I dont think there is anyone in DC that couldn't appear on this show.

I think it's safe to say he's getting more than a cameo, considering he's shown flying around in the commercials for new episodes.

Anyway, loving the new eps. I about shat myself when Miss Martian fried Aqualad's brain.

I watch all TV online now. I dont think I've seen a commercial on CN in over 2 years. Their inconsisctancy is intolerable and has killed many good shows. I dont see how they can have a "DC Nation" without solid DC shows. If YJ gets a 3rd season I will be happy beyond words, but I dont see it happenning. So after its run is over, the "DC nation" is going to consist of Beware the Batman, Green Lantern, & Teen Titans GO??!?

I liked True Colors though I'm surprised Superboy didn't confront Nightwing which was a bit of a letdown

I think theyre trying to move away from the Superboy angle and move in terms of the team. Superboy and Miss Martian were headliners in the first season.

Also, it bothers me how much Blue Beetle is goo'd over. His comic book is being canceled - again and they crowbarred him into TT before The New 52 and he did NOT fit. And now into Young Justice.

Look - I know DC wants to add some 'color' to their comics, toons and toys but damn. Stop forcing Blue Beetle Jaime Reyes down our throat.

Because I don't read the comics I've only seen Jaime Reyes in the 2 most recent series (Batman: TB&TB & Young Justice). I just figured it was because the previous Blue Beetle was killed off around the time JLU, was airing, thus why he wasn't used, so Reyes is the only current Blue Beetle in DC? Of course in comics death is only ever temporary, Ted Kord might be back, and I don't even know it. Also Is the Green Beetle a new character? I like how Impulse says "this guy isn't in the history books".... I'll have to check that out.

Ted Kord has never offically returned...

His corpse was re-animated in Blackest Night and in Booster Gold he was returned via Time Travel. DC has stated that he is officially dead and not coming back. Kinda sad since the B B&B episode with him in it was epic.

I personally hate Reyes.

Meh, I like Blue Beetle. By far the most interesting of the new characters introduced this season.

Also seems like a pretty blatant Guyver knockoff, so that probably helps too.

I've been watching since it came out.

The stories are great and I do like how the second season shifts the focus onto the newer characters more than the original batch from season one. Don't get me wrong, I like them all, but it's nice that it doesn't focus on just one particular group or individual. Each character has their own story or arc explored amidst the whole "invasion" plot that is going on. It really keeps things interesting and you get a feel of each member of the team.

The one thing that ticks me about the show is the erratic air times. It'll go weekly for about a couple of months then go on hiatus. Then it'll come back for an episode or two, then go back on hiatus. It forces me to try and rewatch some older episodes just to remember what the hell's going on.

That is the nature of CN, and why they suck so much. Thank goodness for streaming sites.
