From a King of a small nation who is the most intelligent man on earth, who doesn't have any power but wears an armor like Iron Man does and uses magic to an american business man who knows nothing about science and magic, who wears a trench coat and has electricity superpowers... Good lord. How is that remotely close? He even had an american accent, for god sake! :(
He was closer to Lex Luther meet electro than anything else.

The new version looks awful too, mind you but please don't defend the 2005 Doom...

Yeah in truth, it is pretty much DINO how can you keep screwing up one of the greatest villains of all frigging time? but if that's DINO than what's 2015... it's not even worthy to be a Doom in name only.

I had been meaning to post this for a while, but FF ended it's run on the 22nd of October after 77 days and this is it's final amount.
http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=fantasticfour15.htm
Domestic Total Gross: $56,117,548

Foreign: $111,860,048

For a worldwide total of = Worldwide: $167,977,596

and with that it pleases me to say the film did even worse than The Green Lantern.

While, it may have barely beat GL in Foreign gross it lost in the Domestic slot and combined with that GL smoked them. though GL was a much more expansive movie so it barely matters for them.

Domestic Total Gross: $116,601,172

Foreign: $103,250,000

Worldwide: $219,851,172

This thread lives!

Yeah, poor Green Lantern...I actually liked that movie. I mean, it was stupid, cheesy and didn't make a lot of sense...like most comic books. I never got the hate for it.

Was this movie better or worse than GL?

I heard Fox has lost the rights. Is this true?

Well, no word on that, but Fant4stic 2 has been removed from Fox's release schedule, so something's up.

Fox is fighting a losing battle with this franchise. They might as well give up before it costs them any more money.

So, did anyone get the DVD? Does it suck on the small screen too?

Honest Trailer for Fantastic 4.

Added in 31 minutes 55 seconds:
Screenwriter, Jeremy Slater, gets into what he had pitched in his script for the 2015, Josh Trank ,FANTASTIC FOUR reboot. Which would've featured another classic villain from the FF mythos besides Doom.

When it comes to F4 Fox is becoming the poster child for "beating a dead horse".

What really got on my nerves yesteryear about this movie -- still haven't seen it & probably never will -- is that I couldn't care less for it ever since its inception, and yet almost a good 60 percent of pages I follow on Facebook were raging with news regarding the controversy and all, 'here's the director speaking,' 'the F4 controversy explained' etc. never seemed to end. And this on a good 3 social networks. Surrounded! Almost seemed like they were advertising to see it just to see how awful it apparently is, which is honestly worrying.

This latest effort proves audiences simply do not want a Fox lead F4 movie. They can try again if they want to but I almost guarantee you it will fail. This last one was pretty much destined to fail from the get-go.
