I like how Anakin and Obi Wan could toss Droids across rooms.

I like how Starkiller can bring down Star Destroyers.

I like how Darth Vader can get tossed through walls.

I find it ironic how Luke has to grimace like he's about to drop the biggest deuce of his life to pull his saber from the frozen ice and HE saves the universe from The Sith.

Technically, it was Vader who saved the universe. After all, it was he who killed Sidious.

But without Luke refusing to give up on Vader, he turned Vader back to the light!

? Saved the universe?

First off, Star Wars doesn't leave the galaxy. Second, the Sith are far from defeated. There are tons of them. All over. There are two more Galactic Empires after RotJ. Palpatine is even the one who is basically responsible for saving the galaxy. Without the militarization of the Empire, the galaxy would have fallen to the Yuzan Vong even faster than they almost did.

The canon of the 6 films is the only one that matters.
Every film should have at least one animal attack.

No, the expanded universe counts too, it only doesn't count when it contradicts.

It's either canon or it isn't. You can't have it both ways.

Thats what I like about Luke, he "saves the galaxy" because of his moral and full realisation rather than awesome powers, that's why I see him like a real Jedi. Still, it's just a matter of reimaginating the original movies acording to the current style to have him fight stormtropers like a super circus acrobat.

Yuzan Vong... aren't they an invading race from outside the SW galaxy? Read some stuff about them before and they despise technology and shit.

So the remnants of the empire helped defeat 'em?

Yes, and yes. The New Jedi Order. Good reading, some parts are really boring - like after Chewie dies.

And as for everyone saying the EU counts as canon , while I would LOVE for it to be so, it's not. Lucas ignores it at his whim. I believe he's jealous because every single novelist writes better Star Wars then him.

Yup. I was far more entertained with the books than the new trilogy (although I did still like it).

Even the kiddie stuff is better. Young Jedi Knights > Prequels.

The EU is canon, and pretty much all of its canon expect for several of the Marvel SW comics since Marvel no longer have the rights to Star Wars.

My friends and I have been joking about that guy for years.

I especially love how he shouts "Look Out!" before he crashes strait into Vader.
