You don't like Vader going "No... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" like he's a caveman from outer space?

And the new Krayt's call by Obi Wan. It gets me everytime.

I was specifically thinking about when Luke makes his escape. In the original version, when Luke frees himself, the wampa comes out of nowhere, Luke swings his lightsaber, we see something white & blurry hit the ground, and Luke suddenly escapes outside. In the modified version, it's made very clear what the wampa is, and that Luke cuts off his arm, distracting it long enough for him to make his getaway.

Both scenes side by side for those curious.

^ Okay, the original scene wasn't as confusing as I remembered. Still, I kind of like the modified version.

Don't know if I should see any of the prequels in 3D.

It's an even harder decision for seeing the OT in 3D. I know it's going to not be the original versions, and I know that I'll be supporting the edits if I see them.

But seeing the original Star Wars in theaters is something that seems pretty awesome, even if it's going to have a bunch of CGI.

Never cared for the edits since i grew up with the 1997 version.(except the new hilarious Krayt Call) The important thing is that the original trilogy will be back on the silver screen.

I saw Episode I last night in 3D. Surprisingly, the 3D looked extremely good, far better than I thought it would. It was a lot of fun, but MAN, the acting sucked in that movie. The only redeemable roles belong to Mace Windu, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.

Basically, this.

I actually think I gained a new appreciation for the movie, though. I never really cared for it before yesterday.

But yes, the 3D was gorgeous, especially during the pod race, Anakin's spaceflight, and the Coruscant scenes. I definitely recommend it for everyone who's not Svitska.

Saw it with my brother. He's a big fan so he had fun I guess. The pod race and final battles were cool. The new CG Yoda looked great. To be honest the only thing that bothered me was that I was sitting next to this guy who talked more than the kids he brought with him.

But I wanna talk about this. Lucas has been complaining about his fans recently. He's a quote I found interesting:
If you look at Blade Runner, it’s been cut sixteen ways from Sunday and there are all kinds of different versions of it. Star Wars, there’s basically one version — it just keeps getting improved a little bit as we move forward. … All art is technology and it improves every year. Whether it’s on the stage or in music or in painting, there are technological answers that happen, and because movies are so technological, the advances become more obvious.

I don't think that's a good example/excuse. Mainly because what Scott did to Blade Runner were actually improvements, and the final cut is exactly that. He's happy and not messing with it anymore. He's able to put his creative energy into different projects. Also he allows each and every version of the movie to be seen on DVD and stuff.

Lucas is doing the exact opposite and that's why people are pissed at him. He's just messing with the movies when new editing toys come out and making people except it as THE version when you know he's just gonna change it again. /rant

I saw the movie in 3D as well and the theater was pack. Yeah the story is pretty weak and the acting is not very good but the movie was a great Nostalgia trip. I haven't seen the movie in 12 and half years, I still think The Phantom Menace is a decent movie. The 3D was pretty good as well and the CG still looks good as well. I still think that this movie gets too much hate, I personally found Attack of the Clones to be the weakest in the series.

Jar Jar never bother me even as a kid. He is not the most annoying character and the Twin Robots from TF2 where much worst. Funny that Jar Jar hold the biggest racist stereotype until 10 years later . I have no idea if I want to see Attack of the Clones in 3D since I always been mixed about that film since it's so boring and I hated what they did with Boba Fett.

Jacob Llyold, the kid who played young Anakin Skywalker, was far more annoying than old Jar Jar could hope to be. And I really don't understand the controversy over the twins, Skids and Mudflap, from TF2 myself. It seems no different than the way the African American community portray themselves on BET, MTV, or on television overall. It seems they're the ones with the issues. It's like the old parental addage, "Do as I say. Not as I do."

^^ it's because two white guys, and one being a Jew, decided to do it. If Spike Lee directed TF2, it wouldnt even be an issue.
