I'm gonna disagree there, I remember quite a few themes in TFA. I know Rey's theme, Kylo Ren's theme, Snoke's, The Resistance March. I think people don't realize the themes as much because we don't have a trilogy (or two) of evolution like the others.

I did really like Kylo Ren's 'dramatic entrance' theme that would play whenever he'd be landing in his command shuttle. Very ominous, and did a lot to make his arrivals feel like worst-case scenarios.

I plan to finally re-watch the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie again for the first time in...5 years or so? I honestly don't know.

I mean if AH says the movie should have won all the academy awards when it released it's gotta be good right?

I've got a bad feeling about this...

^

The action in the movie was pretty decent, I'll give it that. I love the opening to the Battle of Christophsis, especially. But it had problems, otherwise. Bad dialogue and total lack of suspense were probably the worst of those. The show was overall an improvement, on its good days.

Great news! I just hope the voice editing isn't as lousy as it was in Rebels, assuming that was why his voice sounded a little off.

I think I know what you are talking about but Rebels was fine.

Ugh. I can't believe I'm about to ask this.

How bad or good are the 2011 Blu-Ray editions in terms of their changes? specifically a "New Hope" but advice on them all would be greatly appreciated.

I need to know real soon.

A New Hope has the most changes, sadly. Empire is MOSTLY unscathed minus redubbing Fett, Return has the most controversial changes...and the most annoying.

Although I don't actually own the 2011 versions, I do know that they added Darth Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" in ROTJ. I bet that change was made to troll fans.

Darth Vader's no and Greedo shooting first are the only thing off to me. I've never seen a version older than 97 so that could be why.

If you really want to watch the original films, just track down Harmy's DeSpecialized Editions. They're all the visual and technical improvements from the Special Editions with none of the unnecessary CGI or stuff like Greedo shooting first.

I suggest Star Wars Revisited.

I don't, especially for New Hope. After going through the list of changes, a lot of them are very minor and a few keep some of the stupid CGI monsters, most notably in the cantina.

There's a couple good continuity fixes, but overall it's just a huge list of useless nitpicky alterations.

Like I said I haven't seen any version older than 97 so the only thing that bothers me in ANH is Han Shot first.

Ah, that's understandable. I highly recommend checking out the original versions whenever you get the chance. You'll be surprised how much has truly changed with all the alterations and stuff.

While the Despecialized Editions are the easiest to come by (check the versions - SW 2.7, ESB 2.0 and RotJ 2.5 are the most recent), I also highly recommend looking around OriginalTrilogy.com for some of the fanmade scans of actual film prints. As it is, I think we only have "grindhouse" versions (no cleanup, only basic color correction) of Empire and Jedi, but I think Team Negative1's "Silver Screen Edition" v1.6 of the original film has had more substantial work done on it. While the Despecialized Editions are cleaner, they're technically recreations as opposed to restorations, and at the moment they're only available in 720p.

The changes to Star Wars and Empire aren't that different. Jedi on the other hand has tons of needless or over the top changes. The new music number in Jabba's Palace being the most cringe worthy alteration and really ruins that sequence for me. Then there's Christiansen ghost and Ewok eyelids. Those are more nitpicky though. Still why does everyone look the same age as when they died but Anakin doesn't? It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Star Wars does have the horribly animated Jabba sequence but it's not that distracting.
