Finally got around and seeing Moneyball. A pretty darn good movie if you ask me!
I was also impressed with Jonah Hill's performance in this film (Finally he stars in something that doesn't involve high school, sex, drugs, and partying!).

The Land Unknown(1957)

I've been wanting to see this movie for a while, but have been unable to find it on DVD. Thankfully, I discovered the whole film on YouTube.

It's a pretty decent sci-fi flick. The plot is fairly simple and straightforward, but pretty interesting. The acting is, unfortunately, rather flat, but it is serviceable.
I do like the combined used of suit animation and live animals; normally using real lizards annoys me, but here it doesn't feel as bad. The Tyrannosaurus is rather silly, but a great "B-monster". The Plesiosaur fairs a little better.

Overall, not a great film, but fairly entertaining. I wouldn't consider it a BAD film, just simple fun. I give it 6/10.

The Grudge 3
It's about a two evil spirits killing a number of people in a Chicago apartment building, reborn from they're last victim's demise (they killed him by breaking every bone in his body, looks horrifing from the camera's perspective.). Then a woman arrives revealing herself to be the sister of one of the spirits and holds a ceremony to stop the curse, but things got horribly awry when one of the victims is taken hold by a great fury, resulting in the woman's death. After dying at the grip of a powerful rage, she herself is turned into a ju-on, like her sister and kills the man responsible for her death (By eating his neck out.). The spirits are stop after one of the victims drinks the thing to contain it, but later reveals that was unleashed once more.

I personally love the Grudge franchise, and this film is no exception. It had some things the others didn't, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I give it 8/10.

I'm a big fan of the Ju-on franchise, but the Grudge 3? Ugh.

I got a huge laugh out of the way one of the characters shrugged of the deatg of whatshername from TNG, saying "Old people die." Yeah, they bleed relentlessly, scream bloody murder, their eyes fall out, and they die. That's exactly what happens to old people.

Taken (2007) - on Blu-Ray because I bought it for me mum. She enjoyed it, so did I.
Personally: 4/5
Critically: 4/5

The Shadow (1994) - man this is dated, but it's still goofy fun.
Personally: 3.8/5
Critically: 2/5

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - a bit boring now, obviously dated. Had a hard time sitting through it.. but I really dig the large epic scale of the film compared to CotCS. Also it's 9000x better then Temple of Doom.
Personally: 3/5
Critically: 4/5

Zoom Academy for Superheroes (20??) - oh Jesus why did I download this? HORRIBLE! The bitterness of "Zoom" played by Tim Allen wasnt fake. He was really pissed he was in the film.
Personally: 1/5
Critically: 1/5

Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3, Jaws The Revenge, and Shark Night.

All were very fishy, and the only one I really liked was the first Jaws.

Green Lantern. I was over at a friend's house last weekend and we watched it. Honestly...this movie was bad =\

Hell, we eventually decided to just turn it off cause it was so damn horrible. The CG stooped down to Sy-Fy Original level at it's worst and "meh" at it's best. The scene where Hal finds the dying alien in the pod was soooo stupid. Did he even realize that was an alien? He sure as hell didnt act like it.

Green Lantern has been a big hitter comic since 2005. I have no idea how they couldve skreeonk up a movie so bad. They shouldve gotten Geoff Johns to write it.

Titan AE. A highly underrated animated movie if you ask me. I always like that sort setting. Lots of different kinds of aliens living in space along side each other (5th element, star wars so on...)

Love it. I wish they would do more space updates of classic stories. Sci Fi is the way forwards!

Puss in Boots- Fun, though not as clever as some of the Shrek films, but I still enjoyed it.

The Thing (2011)- I liked it. It was a decent prequel though not the most interesting thing out there, and I prefer the 1982 one over it, but I liked it anyhow.

Apollo 18- Interesting concept but slow and boring story, but it's just meant to be a fun little monster movie.

A Thousand Words
This movie was pretty funny and well done, but towards the end (like last 20 mins) it got kinda dark/dramatic. One of the few roles that I can't imagine anyone but the actor in the movie playing the character. Eddie Murphy was great, great funny and dramatic. Odd that he almost spoke the least in this.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (2011)- I've never seen the original, but I enjoyed this one fairly well.

Real Steel- Pretty awesome, and the effects were great.

Vertigo - One of the most finely crafted films of all time. Another one of those "make me feel like I'm wasting my time because I'll never make anything this perfect". The ending is impossibly stupid and rushy, however. Otherwise it's an incredible movie and well deserved its status as a Classic thriller.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark 2011 - First off, lets talk about the positives. The creatures were neat looking, and there was some stuff involving them. Unfortunately, that's about it. Almost nobody is likeable, and everyone has to act in the stupidest, and I mean the *stupidest* manner possible to drive the plot forward (for the love of god, turn on a damn light!). Very disappointing, and I really wanted to like it.

Julia's Eyes - A woman on the verge of going blind is positive that her twin sister did not commit suicide, but was in fact murdered by a shadowy killer. Another flick produced by Guillermo Del Toro, this one started off with great promise, but there's little suspense, no real twists, and the solution to the mystery is deeply unsatisfying, with a terribly lame and unfrightening killer to boot. Oh, and one of the cheesiest final shots in cinematic history.
