There was an original?

After viewing wikipedia, I can safely say that well the Clash of the Titans movie is based oof a relic from the 70's, the original isn't well known. This film is pretty independent from it, using the film's mythos to create its own similar story.

First you hate on Jurassic Park, and now this.

Also, Clash of the Titans was made in 1981.

Seriously, Dragoon? Seriously???

Anyway, I'm gonna probably see it... IF the trailer impresses me. *goes off to wonder on how they'll top the Kraken*

Killing the Kraken would have to have angered Hades, so he might send his attack dog, Cerberus. I can imagine several ways to make that three headed dog into a nightmare.

Yeah, at first I was kind of defending the film prior to watching it but I'm sorry... the first one kind of blew.

And the kraken was as dissapointing as Devastator and Venom, but I will say his design looked cool. I'm hoping this sequal will be a lot better and the CGI being a little better too, plus fix the 3D as I heard it sucked.

Edgaguirus, did they mention Cerebrus in the movie? Because I don't remember any one saying that Hades had something like that. Maybe Cerebrus is from the original movie.

Nope. Dioskilos was, he was the two headed dog that guarded the entrance to Medusa's lair, but they didn't include him in the remake either.

I know. Cerberus gets no mention in either film. My point was that it would make a good choice of monster for Perseus to face.

Ok I had to bump this topic as I was browsing netflix late last night and noticed an Animated film with this title (Wrath of the Titans). I added it to my instant que to watch, but haven't had the chance to even see any of it yet.

The description did say it was a sequel to "Clash" (which version they are inspired by I dont know...) But I just thought it was odd that an Animated verison would pop up if the live aciton one is over a year away still.

Anyone see or even hear of this? Just curious. I may not get time to sit and watch it until this weekend...

*update* http://www.amazon.com/Wrath-Titans-bonu ... 650&sr=8-1

evidently this is a motion comic (not really animated), but it is based on the original 1981 film and came out back in March 2010. I have never been into motion comics, but I might give this one a try.

fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy)

Did I read that right? Bill Nighy The Science Guy!? Really? Well, he was Davy Jones so maybe this will work out for him. Also, yay for actual titans!

What annoyed me about the remake was the whole "hey, those Jinn are the only thing I find interesting in this... oh, okay, they're all dead now." segment in the middle of the film. And what an odd inclusion they were, you know, what with them not being in any way part of Greek mythology. The film was a glossy package with nothing inside. It was pretty to look at, but pointless.
