Ad Astra (2019) - Bradd Pitt in outer space

Postby GodzillaFan1990's » Wed Jun 05, 2019 7:24 am

Without a doubt one of my most anticipated films this year given the director James Gray brought us The Lost City of Z whom I really enjoyed. Can't wait to see how he pulls this one off too.

Added in 1 month 13 days 9 hours 26 minutes 14 seconds:
Second trailer is out.

I'm actually very excited for the potential of this one. I'm excited for the potential of just about any and every big high concept sci-fi/space movie that comes out.

So I'll be hoping for the very best here.

SPOILERS - SPOILERS - SPOILERS - SPOILERS - SPOILERS - SPOILERS

Spoiler:
I read the Wiki Plot Synopsis. When Pitt gets to Project Lima on Neptune, the data collected by the Project Lima Team, indicates that there is little likelihood of intelligent life anywhere else in the Universe but Earth. SAY WHAT?????? How the Hell, do you determine, from Neptune, at the edge of our dinky little Solar System, that there is "little likelihood" of intelligent life ANYWHERE ELSE in the Universe???? Heck, you wouldn't be able to determine THAT, about life in the rest of THIS galaxy, the Milky Way, never mind the whole frickin' Universe!!! There is no such technology, and there never WILL be!!! The ending premise of this movie is idiocy!!!

@MandaSaurus we literally have spoiler tags. Use those instead of just announcing you have spoilers.

Despite some nickpicks notably the spoiled one above. I found this enjoyable. Not as good as Lost City of Z though.
