Oh, that's so adorable. You haven't watched very much from the 70s series, have you? XD

I've only seen the Original and currently watching MAX. I'll be checking out Galaxy and Mebius soon after.

Elly is pretty cool, my favorite non-monster character.

Two monsters from Ultraman Ace:

Firstly, GIIGON! The giant violin monster!

Image

And then, there is Dreamgilas.

You know another kaiju that could use a comeback? DREAMGILAS.

What's that, you ask? What the hell is a Dreamgilas? WELL LET ME SHOW YOU.

Image
Image

Basically, this Superbeast from Ultraman Ace episode 35 is invading a boy's dreams, terrorizing him and spraying him down with water. The real-world result is that the boy has a bed-wetting problem and Dreamgilas - no joke - manifests in the real world through the pee stain on the sheet. Like, the stain disappears, Dreamgilas shows up for real and when he disappears, the stain has returned. Wtffffffff. Later, in the battle with TAC, his water-spraying ability is apparently replaced with the ability to spray BLOOD.

The weirdness of the bed-wetting plot aside, dream-invading monsters are some of the coolest so I'd love to see this guy show up again one day, no matter how much of a long shot that is.

There's always something stranger in the Ultraverse.
Always.

There's plenty available. You just need to know where to look.

I'm aware of...

Ultraman
Ultraseven up to episode 22
Return of Ultraman up to episode 10
a few random other eps here and there

Ultraman Tiga
Ultraman Gaia up to episode 6
Ultramaman Neos
Ultraseven X
some other Ultraseven stuff
Ultraman Nexus
Ultraman Max
Ultraman Mebius
Ultraman Zero movies
and an assortment of other movies.

If you know of stuff other than this and where it's available, I'd love to be clued in. :D

Dino-Tank is pretty tame compared to monsters like Mochiron and Cowra, honestly

Finishing up Ultraman: The Complete series. I gotta say I really underrated Ultraman up until this point. Jiras, Neronga, Red King, and Zetton are my favorite kaiju so far.

Good choices, Antlar's my favorite, followed by Zetton, Dorako, and Telesdon.

One day other Ultra Serieses, you'll get dubbed or subbed. One day.

Hell, if this dispute EVER gets settled in my lifetime let Shout! Factory release the various Ultra shows on DVD. Course I kind of want to see the tiga set have 4Kids Dub to see if it is that bad.

Btw, classic Ultraman question: What's the name of that alien or whatever that looks like a monkey? I'm pretty sure he's from the original series or ultra seven. His design is so goofy it looks awesome,

I believe he's referring to Gohron from Ultraseven. http://monsterarchives.proboards.com/in ... hread=1516
I'm currently on episode #34 of Ultraman Max and it is quite the series.
For those interested you can find Ultraman Neos on Youtube and Ultraman Great on Hulu.

Are you thinking of the giant monkey Goro from ULTRA Q? The costume was a refurbished KKvsG Kong suit.

According to Tsuburaya Pro, the name of that monster is Alien Gorlon. The small ape alien is called Gorry.

What was with that episode with the drifting monster Crados? I couldn't tell if it was meant to be a joke episode or not. I think they should have brought back Skydon for this episode.
