I hope the villains are not killed...but at least that they stay "Defeated" until they re-appear again in a future movie.

Video games are never canon to the movies. I think they are likely to kill of the Lizard in the film.

I think it'd be cool if Dr. Connors was cured and kept around, so that, in a possible later entry, the Lizard could return as a hostile ally of Spidey's. A sort of 'I don't want to let it take over again, but I have to help!'/'I'm in control now!' thing

They confirmed it takes place in movie canon.

Plus both Force Unleashed and Tron Evolution were canon to their movies and I believe the Scarface and Godfather games were as well.

Most fans never view the Alien/Predator EU as a canon. I'm pretty sure the game will be just as canon to the movie as Spider-Man 3 video game was to the Spider-Man 3 movie.

It was in the game informer for last move that say the storyline takes place 6 months after the first movie so they don't interfere with the movie storyline but instead go alongside it.

On the games' canoncity: For now, the game is canon, because there's nothing to interfere with it. If it takes place after the movie, it's basically canonically safe until the sequel comes out... THEN it will probably be retconned like most licensed material.

SciFi Japan's international page has updated with the official production notes for Columbia Pictures’ THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, opening July 3rd. The notes ran more than 50 pages, and we’ve added the trailer and over 50 photos and images.

I'm still surprised that the general reaction to this film is so negative. Outside of the Lizard design, which has grown on me. I've been liking everything I'm seeing.

I'm still miffed about the suit design. And mechanical web shooters. But that's a whole other can of worms.

People are hating this film because it's a reboot and SM4 was never made. To be honest, from what I've seen from Spider-Man 4 that it could been a awful film. Here are some reactions to people who have seen the film and they appear to enjoy it.

The story they had for 4 was abysmal, and I don't blame Raimi for getting frustrated and leaving.

I'm actually very happy with where the reboot is headed. It has a lot of Spidey-spirit and my girl Gwen is in the picture (hopefully not as an airheaded waste of a character like she was in 3).

Plus, the new Spider-Man display at Wal-Mart gave me the oppurtunity to buy volumes 5-8 of Spectacular Spider-Man at a cheap price (as opposed to 13 bucks for three episodes, screw that noise), so I love this movie for that alone.
