I would love to see Doomsday because he never appeared in a live-action movie and it would br EPIC.

I always saw a Superman trilogy going like this -

Last Son of Krypton - Brainiac
Man of Steel - Luthor (with power suit), Bizarro
Man of Tomorrow - Zod, Doomsday

I imagine they would save someone like Darkseid for a Justice League movie, if they ever do one.

Doomsday was in Smallville.
He sucked, but it was him.

Smallcille wasn´t a movie and it all depends on the execution.

Let's take a look at this quote of yours.

pta917 wrote:I would love to see Doomsday because he never appeared in a live-action movie

There have been very few comic villains who have been featured in live action Superman movies. There has been Luthor and Zod. That's it. And that's not about to change in Man of Steel. One could argue that the supercomputer from Superman III was Brainiac, but that would be stretching it. If one ignores the forays into television, you have nothing.

So saying Doomsday would be cool because he hasn't been done before is kind of silly. Neither has Metallo, Brainiac, and Darkseid, all of which could make for a far more interesting movie than Doomsday.

They show the trailer with TDKR and most people in the theater said that the movie looks boring. I thought it look pretty good.

So we have a Deadliest Catch Clark Kent, music from Lord of the Rings and Supes doing his best Iron Man impression at the end. People in the theatre clapped at the Hobbit trailer but this? Nothing.

It just didn't really show anything and didn't garner response. However, nothing received a response other than that alien invasion comedy, whatever it's called.

I don't have much hope for Man of Steel, but I'd love to be pleasantly surprised.

It was just a teaser, so it did its job. Remember the first teaser for TDKR? It was just some monologue over a Bat symbol and stock footage of the first two films. I think we should get a full trailer by the end of the year or early next year.

Yep, all of this.

I do have to admit but interest in Man of Steel is mounting, but I can't bring myself to be too hopeful (as I guess I already said). The 78 original was charming although even then not really a great superhero movie IMO. From there it was a downhill flight and even when there was a possibility of a reboot, the powers that be decided to go back to the 78-89 universe with Returns rather than start fresh. And that's what makes Man of Steel the most important Superman movie by far since 1978. It's the first fresh take on the character (really not counting the Molemen in all of this lol). But given that it's a fresh take, let's see.

When the crowd saw it, they weren't really excited. Heard them saying it most likely gonna suck, hopefully they can prove them wrong.

The trailer was a little underwhelming. However I liked the look and tone of the movie and I really liked the flight scene of Superman at the end. My love for Superman equals that of Godzilla so I am really enthusiastic about this movie.

Loved the flight scene. But the music was ripped off from LOTR.

They also had a poster for the movie and one lady was like "This is a sequel to Superman Returns?". I'm not surprise that people would think that this is a sequel since Superman Returns came out six years ago which is still rather recent.

Not bad. It doesn't look too Zack Syndery. There may yet be hope for this movie.
