...wait there's a new skreeonk' manga starting? I purposely avoid DB-Z-GT since I go obsessive ape-shit when I decide to look into it.

Relax it's about Bardock, apparently Frieza's explosion of Planet Vegeta threw him threw time or space (or something to that effect) and it hasn't been elaborated on yet.

Either way Bardock is now the reluctant guardian of a planet of plant people.

Continuing on from the Broly debate in the Avatar thread (thanks for finding this, Yabs!)...

If Gohan had kept up his training after the end of the Cell Games, he would've wiped the floor with Broly. See, this was actually a pretty major plot point at the beginning of the Boo saga, especially when Gohan is fighting Dabura. So, SSj2 Gohan, at his peak, is more powerful than LSSj Broly, and I can say this because a weaker Gohan defeated and killed Broly.

This makes Broly less powerful than Majin Boo, Super Boo, and Kid Boo, as well as Perfect (and Super Perfect) Cell, Vegerot, Gogeta, Janemba, Hildegarn, and about on par with Dabura, maybe stronger.

This also means that late Boo Saga Gohan (post Elder Kaioshin unlocking ceremony) more powerful than Broly.

But don't forget that Broly is by default more powerful than Freeza, King Cold, and Cooler, and probably more powerful than Piccolo, Bobbidi, the Androids, Krillin, Tenshinhan, Chaozu, etc.

But really, he's a pretty overrated character. I honestly don't find him interesting.

Gohan didn't defeat Broly alone though. It took Gohan, Goten, Trunks, AND Goku to kill Broly.

Speaking of Broly, I wonder what would have happened if he was good and trained a lot. He probably would have turned SSJ4 while Goku was just going SSJ2, if not earlier.

Looks like the Bardock manga is getting it's own Anime special similar to the Jump special back in 2008.

I never read the Bardock manga but I'm glad that we are getting another new anime special. I hope we will get more in the future.

I read the Bardock manga and it was pretty decent. SSJ Bardock was also pretty cool, but it doesn't really make all that much sense.
I wonder if AT would consider this as official to the anime timeline...

I finish watching the Bardock epsiode and I like it. It was pretty good and was fun but I do wish they explain on how he went back in time? I hope we will see a SSj3 Trunks special next.

I've never really understood how Ocean's dub is so much better. I mean, you've got a few good voice actors (Kelamis, McNeil), but you've also got generic (Saffron Henderson), sub-par (Drummond), and just bad (that lady that played Freeza).

I mean, sure, Funimation's original dub isn't exactly better, but they damn sure came a long way with Kai.

I still favor the Funimation voice actors over any other group that has done Dragon Ball/Z/Kai.

I don't think neither the Funimation (pre-kai) and Ocean dub where any good. I never liked any of the Ocean voices expect for Vegeta and Zarbon, Funimation (pre-kai) dub has better voice acting but I never like the stupid humor and changes that Funimation does. I always hated how people treat Funimation's as the main English dub and base everything based off of it (One reason why I hate the Dragon Ball wiki).

From what I've seen from Funimation's dub of Kai is that they try to stay closer to the subs but I really don't like #18 and Gohan's new voice at all. I always wanted to see Harmony Gold's dub of Dragon Ball because it sounds so bad .

This certainly sounds promising... 5 bucks says they'll somehow manage to shoehorn Broly into the movie, either by appearance or reference... I wouldn't mind it, but I am kinda hoping they do something new and exciting...
