I think they should take a page from Marvel's book and hint at the JLA movie by having some scene after the credits of "Man of Steel" that shows there are other heroes in this world.

I came up with showing a silhouette of Batman in the cave in front of the Bat Computer showing not only Superman but maybe some other members of the future League.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

I disagree. They should get a Wonder Woman movie out, thereby having the big three, and introduce everybody in the JLA movie; then if it's succesful, go and do the other hero's movies afterwards, kind of like a prequel.

Copying Marvel is, well...copying Marvel. I think it would just be stupid to do something like that.
Before it can be filmed, drawn, acted or programed, it must be written.

Yeah, and announcing an Avengers cash in immediately after the Avengers isn't copying Marvel.

Of course have a Wonder Woman movie out first. I'm just saying that they need to show that there are other superheroes in this world, not just Superman in "Man of Steel".

Clark Kent was intended to have a cameo appearance in an early draft of the Green Lantern flick. But for better or worse it was shot down. Anywho, I found this list of sugegstions on making a good JLA flick. And yes, it does include taking notes from the House of Ideas on how they brought Earth's Actual Mightiest Heroes to the big screen.

And to tell the truth, I have a sneaking suspiscion, that the Geoff Johns/Jim Lee/Scott Willaims JUSTICE LEAGUE opening arc was intended to be the blueprint for the film. With DARKSEID and his minions from Apokalips as the Big Bad(s).

So Ben Affleck might direct the film as well as star in it.

I don't really have much knowledge of him directing movies other then the town(it was him right?) but starring in it? I dunno...

Still looking forward to this.

I hate DC Comics except for Batman so I have zero interest in this. Especially, considering it's a lazy Avengers cash-in. And that fact that there haven't been any good DC films outside of Nolan's Bat trilogy.

I am curious of how will they be able to pull this off. Im thinking that they have to first make Stand alone movies of
every Hero(ine) in it (Flash, Wonder Woman, etc) Or if they will wait for a Batman reboot or something.

One, if you hate DC(and why would you?) then why post in this topic? And cash-in? There's been attempts to do a JLA movie before but they fell apart due to the writer's strike. But I don't see this being a lazy tie in, WB saw what avengers did and probably took notes.

And no good DC films? The first two superman films would like to have a word with you along with some others.

@GK: well that might be happening as Man of steel is suppose to have some references/nods to a shared universe and I love the hell out of this idea. All we need is to have Nolan's Batman being in the movieverse which could totally work and somehow work GL in there and hey! We've got a couple of the main roster all ready, we just need a Flash, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman movie, all awesome characters who should get awesome movies and BOOM! Justice League movie.

A JL movie has every chance to be as good or better than The Avengers (which I don't think is that great to begin with).

If Nolan's Batman, Green Lateran and Man of steel can all be a shared universe then I would just make Wonder Woman and Have Flash and Aquaman appear in Justice League alongside Martian Manhunter.

The JLA movie has technically been in production since the Marvel Cinematic Universe made it's official debut. I don't see it as copying personally, especially since the excellent DC Animated Universe predates both.

I think it's been confirmed "Man of Steel" will be the (essential) debut of DC's Cinematic Universe. It's looking like "Green Lantern" might be to this what "HULK" is to the MCU, but it depends on when DC makes it's decision on that issue. We'll be getting a new Batman to tie right in. What I'm curious about is a possible Wonder Woman film - it's criminal to me we still haven't seen the Amazon Princess in a proper movie. I also think The Flash could support a movie but isn't needed. Then go right into the JLA movie.

I think DC is gonna choke on this like they do with just about every non-Batman film.

Well with Ben Affleck turning down the movie it looks like Ruben Fleischer (30 Minutes or Less), Brett Ratner, McG (Terminator Salvation), Zack Snyder and the Wachowskis (The Matrix) are also on Warner Bros.'s wish list.

I think Zack Snyder is likely depending how the Man of Steel turns out.
