Looks like DC wants to step up the JL movie like Marvel is doing with The Avengers.

That article is very old and probably bogus.

All I can say, is I hope to see Superman and Batman standing right along side Green Lantern, The Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Black Canary, Aquaman, etc., if/when we finally do get a Justice League film. Anyone who says Batman doesn't work in Justice League hasn't read Grant Morrison's JLA. There, perfect way for Batman to work with super powered individuals.

I can see the argument for making Batman's film series stand alone, but not why once Batman 3 is done why Batman can't be part of a connected universe. That sounds like Batman fanboys whining to me. And I'm a Batman fanboy, so I especially don't understand it!

I especially don't see why Superman can't be part of a connected universe. It's not as if you have to have a million cameos with other characters like Marvel is doing.

I think people think the JL and other superheros should not be connected to Nolan Batman movies since it will won't be realistic.

Well since Hellspawn is powerless to bump this, I'm going to because news is popping up again of their being a Justice League movie. Now there's the news of the Batman series being rebooted again due to it not being connect to the films leading up to the justice league and I'm going to say no to that idea because if you think about it Batman himself in the early days shouldn't of been connected to Superman or the justice league. So it shouldn't be that hard to write Nolan's Batman into the DCU if they did something similar with the original Batman comics.

Screw rebooting him, let there be continuity!

Nolan's Batman could fit if they all cover up all of the superhero's action so that no one knows about them.

And now it looks like this is going to be it's own continuity of it's own, with it's own Batman and Superman. Not to sure about GL just yet.

No, they'll have them it's just it won't be the Nolan or the Synder version.

WB knows that the Avengers will rule the box office next year, and they want to beat it. Most of the people outside the comics, should know the Justic League from the DCAU and the older cartoons from the 70's. I think it has a fair chance on beating it at the box office.

See that's the thing, I don't think the avengers will be that big other then cashing in on Ironman's fame. I mean, Hulk revenue was dissapointing and we're still waiting how the public will feel about Thor. Capt, I dunno if anyone outside of comics is all that excited and I say that merely as an asumption because I was watching an episode of Conan today and he announced how the Capt Trailer came out and not to many people clapped and yelled in joy for it. But like I said, we're going to see how both new comers turn out and see how the public reacts to characters they really don't know.

Oh and the dark knight returns will probably out gross it. *awesome face*

Interestingly, I've found that many of my friends, who have never read a comic in their lives, are very excited for Capt. America and Thor this summer. When I informed them that there would be an Avengers film tossing so many of the characters together, they flipped their shit because they were excited. Of course, this is just a small group of people. The reaction of most of the movie-going crowd may be entirely different.

A DCAU animated film versus a huge blockbuster live action megastar film? No, it has NO chance of beating it. Sure DCAU will make money, but it wont make JLA money.

This is not a animated film, I saying non comic book readers should know who the Justice League is from the popular cartoons from over the years.

Stop judging the possible success of a live action film based on it's cartoon counterpart(s).

I think they should take a page from Marvel's book and hint at the JLA movie by having some scene after the credits of "Man of Steel" that shows there are other heroes in this world.

I came up with showing a silhouette of Batman in the cave in front of the Bat Computer showing not only Superman but maybe some other members of the future League.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

I disagree. They should get a Wonder Woman movie out, thereby having the big three, and introduce everybody in the JLA movie; then if it's succesful, go and do the other hero's movies afterwards, kind of like a prequel.

Copying Marvel is, well...copying Marvel. I think it would just be stupid to do something like that.
Before it can be filmed, drawn, acted or programed, it must be written.
