You have fantastic taste :D

This thread is for general favorite movies, not just the Godzilla ones, so feel free to comment some favorite non-Goji films too :)

I know that, but I wanted to share my thoughts on Godzilla's movies first and move on. :)

Little Godzilla was in Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla, not vs. Destroyah. :P
And what about G14? You didn't include it at all, not even as a 'I haven't seen it' film.

Killer Klowns is one of my favorites too! Gotta love the kickass theme by The Dickies!

I have recently realized that The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are two more favorites of mine. And since I previously mentioned the first JP as one of my favorites, that means every film in the JP franchise is among my favorites except for 3.

Friday the 13th (1980)
Patton

The Maltese Falcon
Dirty Harry
Airplane!

Let it be written. These are just ones I can easily dredge up for a favorites list, and trying to keep to one per director and genre. Otherwise we could be in New Wave and period kaiju flicks for a little while. I don't know about order, but those first six are pretty locked into my highest tier.

Godzilla (Honda, 1954)
Dogtooth (Lanthimos, 2010)
Eraserhead (Lynch, 1977)
Week-end (Godard, 1967)
Lost in Translation (Sofia Coppola, 2003)
Inherent Vice (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2014)
2001: A Space Odyssey (Kubrick, 1968)
The Royal Tenenbaums (Wes Anderson, 2001)
Inglourious Basterds (Tarantino, 2009)
House (Obayashi, 1977)

A couple Cohen brothers movies would make the list just one tier down as well.

One film I've recently come to adore is the 1986 film Manhunter. Easily my favorite non-kaiju film, and unquestionably my favorite screen adaptation of anything Hannibal Lecter related.
