I liked it. The Linkara gag was obvious and not all that funny to me until he actually did a team-up.

I think the NC reviews have gone down hill. I haven't really laughed at his newer reviews. Angry Joe is my personal favorite on the site.

His reviews are still enjoyable to me, they are not as good as they where in 2008-2010 but I still like them. Moulin Rage, Inspector Gadget, Neverending Story 3, Doug's First Movie, Baby Genius and The Grinch where the best reviews of last year IMO.

His reviews suck now, mainly due to the fact that he ran out of notable bad movies and instead had to turn to somewhat passable movies. His Top 11's, however, are still entertaining.

I think Doug still has enough notable bad films that he won't run out. I think the review of Patch Adams, Star Trek V, Star Trek 9, and Santa Claus: The Movie are the best reviews of this year so far. With the review of The Grinch, he did made some good points since I never liked that movie neither.

I disagree with this. I think last year was, overall, the best year he's done for his reviews, because each one felt different from the last, and I really got the feeling that Doug was trying his hardest to put out something funny.

Doug could review a relatively good film, and still come out with something funny. He really doesn't need to be reviewing notably bad movies to be funny.

However, I think 2012 hasn't gotten off to a good start with Star Trek month, because those reviews were pretty forgettable, outside of Insurrection, and only because it was a crossover with Linkara. And his Patch Adams review wasn't really that funny, just him explaining why he hates the film, which got old after a while.

Not going to happen. I think it's safe to say that he isn't going to review any more Godzilla movies.

As long if Doug makes me laugh then I still watch his videos. I thought last year was a good year but not as good as 2008-2010.

My top 11 reviews of last year (copy & paste my post from the TGWTG forums).

1. Moulin Rouge
2. The Neverending Story III
3. Doug's First Movie
4. Inspector Gadget
5. The Grinch
6. The Legend of the Titanic
7. Dungeons & Dragons
8. Top 11 Batman The Animated Series Episodes
9. Jaws: The Revenge
10. Old Vs. New: True Grit
11. Child's Play/The Cell

I hope the 200th episode will be The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle since so many people requested in the past few years. I hear it might be Ponyo since Doug wants to review it.

Hasen't doug said that he doesn't care for Godzilla, so he won't review the movies?

I don't think Doug has said he doesn't care for Godzilla, especially since his brother has said that he enjoys Godzilla movies for what they are. However, I don't think he'll ever review another Godzilla movie.

If he was a fan then he would have talk about them in his GINO review. He could do a bum review of Legendary Pictures Godzilla movie when it comes out but I doubt it.

I used to be a big fan of his reviews up until this recent nastolgaween (spelling, whatever). Since then, I've felt his reviews have really started going downhill, and I don't really feel too bad about skipping over them. Even the 200th episode was a let down. I didn't think it was all that funny, although the Little Kuriboh scene was worth the watch, and he didn't have enough complaints about the movie for it to be a true nostalgic critic review. It really felt like a low point for him instead of a high point. He's still in my top 10 internet reviewers, but he's fallen a lot in those rankings.

Sure, I'll watch them if the movie he's reviewing is something I'm familiar with, but lately I've felt "meh" after watching them.

^ LittleKuriboh is best known for the Yu-gi-oh: The Abridged Series, Spike Spencer is best known for the voice actor for Shinji Ikari in the Evangelion series and I believe Uncle Yo is a comedian for video games and other anime stuff. I agree that Doug is still my favorite internet reviewers but The Cinema Snob is still my favorite reviewer on TGWTG. Anyone like Phelous? I find his videos very enjoyable but I do find some of his meta-humor rather annoyhing sometimes.

I used to enjoy Phelous's reviews, but like you said, his meta humor is annoying sometimes. Also, his last ten or so reviews looks like he no longer enjoys what he's doing. He also seems to pick out little things in his reviews just to complain about something that really shouldn't bother anyone.

Also, I have to agree with you, The Cinema Snob is also my favorite.

I've never been a big Phelous fan, for the reasons stated above. He has good reviews sometimes, but not enough to make me a loyal watcher.

And I'll have to agree with you two as well, except say that the Brad Jones videos are my favorite on the site. I can't wait for this summer to see if they do midnight release reviews again.

I like that he reviewed a Miyazaki film, I hope he continues the trend. As great as he is, Miyazaki can be an overrated director and seeing someone apply some actual criticism is a breath of fresh air in contrast to all the praise he gets.
