Wow, my local Walmart had Vol XXIII. This is the first time I've ever seen a set there, and what's more they only had a couple of copies left.

I watched MST King Dinosaur on Youtube for the first time a couple weeks ago. Hilarious! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did

I started to watch Rifftrax "Maniac" on Hulu. But I had to stop when the nudity scenes came on (I didn't want my kids to see that) I'm a little surprised they didn't edit that stuff out as they had to on a couple of MST3K episodes, but again I guess its not on TV so the same rules dont apply.

On the Maniac DVD there was a warning. I don't know why Hulu wouldn't have had one as well.

Maniac isn't a good one to be showing your kids anyway, what with the man eating cat eyeballs and all. The riffing is hilarious, but you have to stomach the movie to get through it.

I was watching The Wild World of Batwoman and one piece of music struck sounded like I've heard it before. When the girls are guarding the hearing aid and in the dining room, the music that the band is playing sounds like a cue from Manos. I know it's probably not but it sounds very close. Of course this movie did rip off a few scenes from Mole People so who knows? Check it out if you have the Batwoman.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

Watched a variety of mid series episodes these past few weeks. I really digged the Teenagers from Outer Space and Tormented episodes.
"TORCHAAA!" "Tom Stuart killed me!"

I've been trying to watch some KTMA episodes. I'm always up for the early roots of a good show, and KTMA admittedly had my favorite variation of the opening, but the microscopic theater silhouettes combined with the piss poor quality of most fan recordings has put me off for a while. I still love how disjointed the season is. Several episodes have no Crow, Joel disappears once, and the mads are all over the place. I also like Weinstein's pre-"mighty" Servo voice. He kinda sounded like Dr. Strangelove.

I've now focused my attention to Season One. The Crawling Eye was okay. The theater segments weren't very lively much like most of the KTMA episodes and Crow's silhouette really annoyed me, but the host segments were pretty decent, so I got a kick out of Gypsy's "uncoiling". Watching The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy now.

I have tried to watch some of the earlier episodes.... on my 3DS. Watched The Corpse Vanishes last night. Funny as always, but watching it somehow felt weird (Crow's silhouette bugged me and I am really used to Kevin Murphy's voice coming out of Servo), add to that, audio quality is crap on my 3DS so I had to strain to hear most of the jokes. Altogether, I could watch some of the earlier stuff again, I just find it odd to watch it.

On the other end of the spectrum, today I checked out Pumaman and watched Devil Fish again.

Oh, it'll be interesting all right. Another movie where NOTHING HAPPENS. I find these kinds of episodes hilarious . The short before it: Studying Industrial Arts is one of my favorite shorts. I could watch it a hundred times and could still laugh at it.

Finished watching Mad Monster. Good god was it boring. It drags along at a snail's pace and is full of cliched story telling. I was waiting for what felt like hours for a host segment to pop up.

Dont you mean Pew-ma Man? That episode was great. I was just suprised that not once did they referrrence Donald Pleasance character of Dr. Loomis from Halloween. I kept waiting for Mike to yell "I shot him SIX TIMES!!" but it never happend :( .

I hope this one gets an eventual DVD release. I want to watch some more Rifftrax, but I've seen all the ones on Hulu, I need to find another place to watch them without cost.

I'm looking forward to the next DVD volume coming out later this month, but I still haven't watched the last volume yet.

Anyone planning on seeing Rifftrax Live Manos?

The only way I'll be missing it is if I'm dead. And even then I might still manage it.

Anyone going to see the Live show for Birdemic in October that was apparently announced recently?
