Been a fan since the earliest days of the franchise, having been fortunate enough to be heading into adolescence right as the slasher movie craze was getting underway. 2nd favorite film series, after Godzilla.

Can't say this CW TV series sounds encouraging, though. Not because it's the CW, but because it's built around that tired old chestnut, "What if the films were based on a REAL killer?" Utter rubbish, IMO, and potentially catastrophic for the franchise as a whole.
"Is he strong?" No, not really. He's got radioactive blood, after all.

Seeing as today is Friday the 13th, i've decided to watch a few of these again. I've already watched parts 6 + 7, and i'm 8 now. I like 8 for the atmosphere of it, and for some reason always have.

I re-watched parts 1 and 2 on Friday, and I cannot believe this was the first time I ever noticed Alice's desiccated corpse in Jason's shack.
Tokyo, a smoldering memorial to the unknown, an unknown which at this very moment still prevails and could at any time lash out with its terrible destruction anywhere else in the world.

Wasn't this the one with found footage? Or was that just the upcoming movie?

Nevertheless, I'm happy it isn't happening, honestly. After the crapfest that was the Scream show, I'm kind of relieved we won't be getting anymore classic horror films adapted into crappy teen shows.

Now the 2017 movie...that's something I'm excited for. Not just for the fact that a new F13 movie is coming, but also so they can reissue that OOP Blu-Ray set!
