Batgirl in Batman and Robin is Alfred Pennyworth's schoolgirl daughter come to take him away from being a servant to Bruce Wayne and ends up becoming Batgirl because Alfred thinks she can do good.

Then there's Batwoman, all the alternate Batgirls...

...so yeah how she acts in a movie with no connection to any other Catwoman or Batgirl history is irrelevant.

You're using a really bad example from a really bad movie. That really shouldn't count.

Joel Shumacher had no idea what he was doing with the characters he had. Christopher Nolan, on the other hand, has proven himself to know what he's doing with Batman and his friends and enemies.

Im not using a bad example. Im used AN EXAMPLE.

Neither Batgirl, Batwoman and/or Catwoman are universal, GxG. So you saying how her character acts in the movie means nothing. You could EASILY rename her Cassandra Kane/Batwoman and it would work for the movie.

I would say there is a universal Catwoman: A high socialite of Gotham, who after seeing Batman, becomes obsessed with being a cat burglar.

So you saying how her character acts in the movie means nothing. You could EASILY rename her Cassandra Kane/Batwoman and it would work for the movie.

Except that what was shown in the trailers does reflect how most people see Catwoman.

You dont know what "most people" see, GxG. Dont use vague unsubstantiated claims in debates.

Look, here's a comparison, which looks most like Ann? The girl on the left..

I'm talking from a non-comic book reader perspective. That's what I think of when I hear Catwoman, and I can guarantee you that I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Look, here's a comparison, which looks most like Ann? The girl on the left..

Um...no.

Considering the skin-tight cat suit, the lack of any bat markings on her outfit, and the cat ears, that is most certainly more of a Catwoman suit than it is a Batgirl suit.

Damn...selective reading AND selective vision. Youre like the anti-superhero.

Now back to Avengers...

While Thanos will most likely be in Avengers 2 or 3, I dont forsee the Gauntlet being used. It's in Odin's Vault. Thanos is looking at Earth. I would like to see Anthony Hopkins as Odin lay some Godlike smack down on the Mad Titan.

I don't see why Barbara would ever refer to Bruce as a "strange man". I felt the trailers made it blatantly clear that isn't Babara Gordon, but w/e...

As long as Thanos IS in Avengers 2/3, I'll be satisfied. That's all I really care about.

Im still alittle against the idea of going cosmic so soon. Need more Earth-based fights. HYDRA, AIM, shit how about a Dark Avengers?

Since the gauntlet was introduced in Thor, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Thanos in Thor 2

Ultron would need Hank Pym as Ant Man or just as a scientist.

I could easily see Coulson coming back as The Vision, as a prototype for Ultron built by Pym and Wasp (Janet van Dyne) and going crazy and at the end Coulson comes back as The Vision and falls for Janet and three new Avengers come into the fold to battle Thanos.

THANOS ALL THE WAY, BITCH!

The Infinity Guantlet would lose some of its appeal, as part of what made it cool was that EVERYBODY in Marvel set out to whoop his ass, and still failed.

The real cosmic cube story would be better, though it seems they've used it to the extent of its infinite power...and renamed it "the tesseract" apparently...

The Cosmic Cube in the Ultimates universe (which MCU is more based on then 616) can do pretty much anything the holder wants. Would be hard to stop Loki if he held the cube and wanted to eliminate all life on Earth with a single thought...

...so they changed it to a power source and called it the tesseract.

They can't just take one element from 616 and use it properly? I guess it doesn't make for a good movie if the villain's subconscious defeats him, though. They would probably have some way of...tearing off his head and shitting down his neck for the MTV generation.

Little late to the party, but I forgot my password for a while there.

Saw it, loved it. Had massive amounts of fun.
Was by far, my most enjoyable movie going experience since Transformers.

Obviously there were flaws in the story, blah blah blah picky picky picky. It was skreeonk awesome. No complaints or need to change anything whatsoever.

I saw it this afternoon. It was a great movie. The fight sequences were a visual feast, but I loved the way the characters interacted and the bits of humor more. You could definitely see the Joss Whedon touch here.

Transformers is 3000's favorite movie. So yeah.

Avengers was amazing. The action sequences were awesome, the characters very well-developed and likeable (Cap still feels like a amateur and not a veteran though), and I really wasn't expecting to like Hulk/Banner as much as I did. Loki, Stark and Fury are great as always, and its nice to see minor characters like Coulson have decent endings. The humor is great too- mostly from Stark, but the Hulk gets a few nice ones as well. Also...Thanos! (although I couldn't recognise him at first). The last line about 'courting death' was incredibly awesome.

Few nitpicks- The Chitauri are kinda a non-threat, even the huge serpent ships. Also, the final battle can get a little repititive since most of the Chitauri just stand there and get slaughtered.
RIP, Old TK.
