I prefer Edward Norton's Bruce Banner more than Mark Ruffalo, who I wasn't impressed by in the trailer. I'll have to watch the actual film when it comes out to make a firm judgement, but based on what I've seen, I could care less about Ruffalo's take on Banner.

Ruffalo as Banner is fine. I think people invest a little too much in Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. When I saw Mark Ruffalo in the trailer, Edward Norton was the furthest thing from my mind. Does it seem like he's going to give the greatest performance of all time? Nope. But it sounds like Bruce Banner to me. Besides, who here is really into the Hulk for Banner? It's all about the Hulk, baby.

I don't know about anybody else, but I love the tortured soul that is Banner. Bill Bixby and Edward Norton were both terrific, and it was painful for me to lose Norton. I'm willing to give Ruffalo a chance, and he seems fine, it's just that the trailer isn't playing up the aspects of Banner I like to see.

How could you judge so harshly on a few trailers he's barely even been in? We've seen more of the Hulk than Banner.

They might be. Could be a pretty sweet redesign.

The lower chins on them looks like the Skrulls. I remember Marvel said that they are not in the movie, I don't know what to think now? I guess Marvel likes to troll with the fans again ;).

Chitauri and Skrull are nearly synonymous in the ultimate universe. They don't even exist in the main one, at least not to my knowledge.

^I know. Eh, they're probably not, but the Chitauri story would fit in well with what they've done already. Plus, this is all obviously taking many cues from the original Ultimates series. Loki and the Chitauri? You've already kind of mashed up the first and second series there...

I did not care for Ed Norton or The Incredible Hulk at all. I adored Hulk, and Eric Bana. (Also, Liv Tyler and William Hurt were pathetically miscast compared to Jennifer Connelly and Sam Elliott)

The movie seems to be pulling more from the Ultimates version of Banner (and Thor), so I'll accept it, even though it's not my favorite characterization of Banner either.

And I feel the exact opposite. I admired Hulk for its ambition in trying to be cerebral, but having abition and being successful are two opposite things. And while I normally love Eric Bana, but he was awful in that movie. Connelly proves time after time she doesn't have a hint of talent above her chest, and don't get me started on Nolte ("I'll go! YOU WATCH ME GO!"). The Incredible Hulk was far more successful in what it set out to do than Hulk was, and for that alone I consider it the better film. The fact that I found it an effective action thriller on its own meant that it was a film I genuinely enjoyed. If Ang Lee's movie wasn't an entire clusterfuck, maybe I'd admire it for different reasons. But it is, and I don't.

^What if they're just frost giants with futuristic/space tech Loki has acquired? The new shots of the toys really had me thinking they looked like the frost giants wearing fancy armor...
