Da hat er den Mund zu weit aufgerissen! Noch vor ein paar Wochen ließ Steven Spielberg verlauten, den vierten Teil von Jurassic Park selbst inszenieren zu wollen.
Davon ist der Brontosaurus der Filmemacher abgerückt!
Er wolle wie vor 11 Jahren bei Jurassic Park 3, lediglich produzieren.
Wer in die Fußstapfen des Regisseurs der zweiten Fortsetzung tritt, ist nun völlig offen.

Not that i personally blame him considering the back-lash he got after JP3, Though Spielberg already said he wouldn't direct it neither.. I wonder who they will get to direct?? Unless of course Spielberg asks Johnston i doubt he'd turn him down.. but it'll be interesting to see how this turns out... I'm not a fan of Johnston as i've expressed but i hope they just don't hire a nobody...

Well, what can I say? All good character's need negative traits of some kind. After all, no one is perfect. Guess it just depends on which traits annoy you the most.

Its not that they have negative traits. It that Crichton focuses on those negative traits and embellishes them to ridiculousness.

Malcolm's arrogance is so annoying. Its as though every word he utters is a prediction and how Chaos Theory is right. And if he isn't doing that, he's telling someone they're an idiot for not believing him. He's used as an vehicle for Crichton to express his opinions about math, genetics, and science in one of the most heavy-handed ways ever.

Hammond is the inverse of Malcolm. Its his ignorance and stupidity that gets in the way of him being interesting. And I don't understand how he can be SO set in his ways that he doesn't see how the park is falling apart. He is nearly killed by raptors and all he does is go, "It'll be otay. Malcolm is just jelly cause he didn't come up with this FABULOUS idea."

Nedry is acceptable. His character is meant to be hated and annoying.

I agree that Malcolm is pretty heavy-handed, but he's also meant to be a rather unlikeable character. And Hammond's supposed to be hated, as well.

Honestly, I always interpreted both novels as saying, "Hey, you can't skreeonk with shit, but maybe it's not because of what these 'experts' say." Remember Thorne's soliloquy at the end of TLW?

I would like to see the stuff updated to catch up with discoveries in paloentology. Albeit I still think a berserker, man-eating Spino is just fine.

Will never happen. They have already screwed up quite a lot of facts. Some they did unintentionally like calling a Deinonychus Velociraptor (which they were considered at the time of the first movie). Some they did on purpose, like making Dilophosaurus much smaller than it actually was (they didn't want to take attention away from the T-Rex).

Hopefully if there's ever a JP 4 we'll get dinos like Carnotaurus and have them be part chameleon. Perhaps we will get dinosaur hybrids like a cross between Velociraptor and Dilophosaurus or T-rex and Carnotaurus.

I would like it if there was an even bigger baddie like Giganotosaurus or even a chimeric dinosaur that's so strong it requires numerous dinosaurs to stop it.

In all honesty a tyrannosaur would likely have given spinos a wide berth due to their size and environment. On the other hand a spino attacking a tyrannosaur out of predatory instinct is absolutely laughable. Not only was spino not built for taking large prey, they likely weren't aggressive hunters of land creatures.

I'm not in any rush for a rematch. In fact I wish this franchise would die the death it deserved since 97.

In 2014 means it been 13 years since Jurassic Park 3 came out. That's long enough for people to forget how bad JP3 was and I was reading that they will be using practical effects in the film. That's good because the practical effects where the best things about these movies and I agree that practical effects do tend to look better then CG most of the time.

Sometimes I get the feeling that I'm the only person in the world that liked that movie. I've seen FAR worse movie sequels than that one. I swear, a good chunk of the hate it gets is because of the whole "spino killed rex" thing.

I liked it as well. i was only shocked to see the Spino kill the T-rex but aside from that, I enjoyed it.
