Considering Bruce Campbell's age and his new found popularity from Burn Notice, this would be the perfect time to make another "Ash" Evil Dead film. I don't want to see Campbell trying to play Ash, when he is 70 years old. I want to see him in that role now!

This new Evil Dead film will be forgotten a month after it is released! Its a shame that they aren't making this film for the real Evil Dead fans.

Just like the Psycho remake ? If you want bad remakes to stop then don't see them. Some of the recent remakes from the past few years like Fright Night and Conan have done poorly. That's a sign that most people are getting tired of them. I haven't seen a remake in theaters since the Nightmare on Elm Street remake came out which was two years ago.

^ Fright night I can't really comment on but Conan's main fault wasn't being a remake AS IT ISN'T A REMAKE!!! It's a reboot and shares virtually no similarity with Arnold's flick other then it's Conan. No, the real reason it didn't do well is because Liongate was acting like a bunch of shitheads and said "Oh hey, let's go and start showing commercials and tvspots for it ON THE WEEK IT COMES OUT!!!". Goddamn were they stupid and now I have to wait a VEEEEERY long time for a new Conan flick. ):<

Now as for this, this is likely to bomb mainly because of how horrible it sounds and how displeased the fans are with it and when you piss off a cult following with your remake of a cult film, that's not good. Diablo Cody might be hot and all, but what the skreeonk lady were you thinking!?

^ Why is everyone blaming Diablo Cody for this? She was only hired to REWRITE the script. The drug subplot, Mia and everything else came from Fede Alvarez's script.

Whatever. The Cabin In the Woods has basically rendered this film useless, as it completely deconstructs the cliches found in horror films like this.
