Most alcohol tastes like crap unless it is expensive and mixed nicely. You drink it for the effects!

Speak for yourself, man. There's quite a few beers that I enjoy for the taste which I don't necessarily even try to get buzzed off of. Getting drunk on occasion is fine. However, I usually prefer being the sober guy at the party who watches all the wasted people do stupid shit.

I don't know what kind of parties you go to, but most people at a party don't pass around cheap vodka as the form of drinking. The crappy stuff gets put in mixed drinks for the precise reason that it tastes crappy.

Also, favorite beers are probably Fat Tire (a Belgian amber ale) and Dos Equis. Dos Equis really surprised me with how much I enjoyed it. Was expecting something a lot closer to Corona than a legitimately good beer. Samuel Adam's Boston Lager is good too.

Sam Adams is great. Pale ales are my favorite, though. Sierra Nevada is an excellent, readily-available representative of the American Pale Ale which I highly recommend.

I will partake of a Kahlua and Cream once in awhile. It helps take the edge off the Maker's Mark.

Is the mojito a bitch drink? I enjoy those. Anything with lime and mint is aces in my book.

I don't do many mixed drinks, but these are my old reliables:

Bourbon highball with ginger ale.

Manhattan

Gin Martinis (NOT vodka, damn it!)

I also occasionally mix bourbon, sloe gin, and bitters.

It depends on the scenario and what it is exactly. I enjoy me a White Russian on occasion (Kahlua and milk). But I tend not to make them during parties or anything; I only make them when I am just casually drinking. There is a drink me and some friend's make that we refer to as "skittles" (it smells like a bag of skittles)that tastes amazing but really isn't really on the "manly' drink side. It's:

About 2/5 cup Bacardi Dragon Berry.
About 2/5 cup Rockstar.
The rest Sprite/7Up/whatever.

There are some drinks that really are girly and I feel you shouldn't drink them around other people no matter how good they may taste. Stuff like Smirnoff Ice would be an example. The only time it is acceptable is if you get "iced," and only then because it is basically a punishment.

You can use soy milk but it wont taste right. You dont taste much milk. It just mellows out the alcohol taste. I find a sombrero is good to sober you up after too much clear booze.

Went out for my friend's 21st. The good thing about going out on your 21st? Everyone buys your drinks for you. The bad thing? Not only are you expected to get drunk, but you end up drinking a bunch of diff that doesn't mix. My friend had:

Apple Pie Shots
Jaegermeister
Two Irish Car Bombs
And I think some Absolut

Needless to say, he didn't feel that good earlier today.

"Pussy" is an understatement. It only takes one measly Vegas Bomb to start screwing up my vision.

You need to start with a starchy substance before you get into the high proof or sugary liquids. I normally start with beer, or a clear liquor to start. Gin is good to start with. Or eat before you drink. Trust me, it hurts and burns less if you puke something up with the liquor. ..make sure it's not hot wings. That hurts going down, coming up and pooping out. I normally go for BBQ.
