Tell me, without Googling it, who are the independent party candidates outside of Ron Paul?

No. The point is, people are cattle and they vote for the person with the biggest ads on billboards, coolest commercials and prettiest smile. Some people are actually so stupid they vote for who has the most signs outside the poling booth.

It's easier for people NOT to vote and bitch then to do 1-2 hours of solid research on a third party candidate and actually vote for them. Then you have to figure in the "they're never going to win" mind-set.

The general public just DOES NOT know who all the third party candidates are. In 2008 I was shocked to see over 10 different options to choose from for President. I was like.... WTF are these people?

While i dont care for either candidates I deff will NOT be supporting Obama

I think a lot of people are missing the real serious issues. All of the Obama supporters I have talked to are only concerned about the gay rights debate and abortion debate

While those are issues at hand there are A LOT of more serious stuff to worry about too. Truth be told I dont think Obama plans to do a thing about either one. Itll be up to the states to decide

The fact is our government has TOO much power. It should be up to the public to vote on issues like gay marriage, abortion etc.

You dont want the public to decide those things, zilla-x. Go read some of the bills presented and see if you think people are going to read and comprehend them.

Keep in mind that Nancy Pelosi has no idea what the healthcare bill will do.

And I don't want the moronic politicians deciding what is and isn't good for me when they don't even understand basic principles:

I hate to be one of the whole stereotypical "the government sucks" people... but the government in fact sucks. Nothing gets done because they are too busy disagreeing with whatever the other side has to say than actually trying to solve problems. And when they do agree on something, they usually have no idea what they are doing.

There's no one to blame but those who voted for them. You dont HAVE to vote for the 2 people running. You can vote for whoever you want.

The problem is this 2 party system we have set up. It makes getting a third party candidate on the ballot a lot more difficult than it has to be.
Apparently SWTOR said that I can invite 25 people for a 7 day trial of the game. PM me if interested.

You missed the point I was making Wataru. The two parties basically control the government, partly because they have massive funding and partly because people are too dumb to educate themselves. This wouldn't be a problem if they weren't so adamant about considering anything anyone not on their side has to say. They conduct filibusters and all other sorts of ridiculous things just to get a bill passed or denied.

The government, as I said earlier, is too busy focusing on one-uping the other party than actually fixing anything.

The problem isnt the people IN the government; it's the people who vote for them and have no problem bitching but want nothing to do with changing it.

Wut.

This isn't a democracy Watsy, you can't DO anything to people once they have those positions, and they don't have some sort of law or code saying they have to do what they said they would. The people have no control over elected officials once they get in office. Sure you could, ya' know, not vote for them but that doesn't really solve anything when every single politician does it. It is the same reason that when people are asked "who the best presidents are?" they all think of the same 3-5 people. Because politicians in general spend far more time arguing than getting things done.

EXACTLY!

Funny enough I am a Christian Republican yet I can agree with stuff from both sides. I don't go far left and I don't go far right. I am not a so called religious bible thumping nut that people seem to think christians are. I respect everybody straight or gay and religious or not (Although Islam is REALLY pushing it)

The government needs to worry about our nations security and making sure the economy is running fine. THOSE are the biggest issues to me.
