What ruined your day?

Last night, came home and the girlfriend and I were about to goto bed when we noticed the floor was wet.

The horrible storm we had 3 days ago had overrun my gutters and run down the shut awning into the window and flooded about 1/5th my room. Nothing was ruined, but the carpet, bed and my rabbit skins got wet. When I was examining my Eastern philosophy books, my girlfriend noticed a small carpenter ant nest. Pulling the books out we noticed they'd made a nest in my books and I had to remove ALL my books, move the bed and spray the next. Swept up the ants and put down towels.

This morning, two blankets and 8 towels later, it's still wet and I found more ants. Theyre running inside from the rain we've had everyday for 2 weeks. I spent the entire morning in my room taking care of the ants. Now I need to rent a carpet cleaner, scrub my head, reseal the wall, bug bomb and move my Godzilla vinyls back into storage...

Went to bed at 2a.

The ants hit my place every goddamn summer. I just started finding them in the kitchen, a few a day maybe. In another week, there'll be fifty running around. I don't know where they come through, so each year I just lay down a dozen ant traps when I see the first ones and then wait it out. Usually takes about a month to kill all the little suckers. All I can figure is that they get under the siding, climb up through the wall, and build a nest behind the kitchen counter.

I get the little bastards in my kitchen too. We have traps set up but I still see a lot on the counters. I drown the little suckers with clorox spray.

A few days ago I had my wisdom teeth taken out and I've still been kinda bloody in the mouth. So last night while I slept I guess I kept swallowing some of my blood so I've been vomiting and nauseous most of the day. Feeling better now though.

i recorded a song yesterday where i played olive the instruments on it. playing guitar and bass on a recording is no big deal, but the drums are a different matter entirely. nevertheless i own an electronic kit and use it to record, write drum parts, and learn tunes with. i got behind the kit yesterday for the first time in a while and did several takes this metal tune i got fleshed out enough to demo. needless to say, i am very very sore today.

My job interview was cancelled today since my Mom is sick in bed and I might not have the interview until tomorrow or Wednesday. So I got ready and prep up for nothing. Not to mention I didn't sleep well last night and I didn't wake up until 3:00 PM today.

I hate when that happens. You got something big planned, you get ready only to find out plans are cancelled at the last minute after you got everything ready.

17 comic book long case, 10 short cases, a shit-ton of Doctor Who stuff, Warcraft figures, my new Raggedy Ann collection, all my records..

..oh and my girlfriend wants some hanger space and I need to get a wardrobe for that and its odd to have her riding me and about 50 kaiju eyeballs looking back at you.

It's like that cartoon with the mom blowing the dad and "LIKE A BOSS" while his son walks in on them but with kaiju Bandai vinyls.
