That sucks. What kind of cancer? If he's still pretty young and has good insurance, then things will be much easier for him.

He hasnt told me yet and yea he just turned 15 idk about the insurance i'll find out tonight

thanks you two i hope he does beat it but no matter what im staying with him and i told him this to ''I'm always gonna be by your side when ever you need me.'' I hope he wins this battle.. when I find out when he gets his head shaved im shaving it also.

I never bothered to shave my head for some reason. I just let the hair fall out. Shaved my beard though. Make sure he gets a hat for the summer. The sun on his head is going to be awful because of the chemo. Trust me, I know.

Also, from someone who went through it, I heavily advise him to get a port if he can. That chemo is going to shred his veins up somethin' fierce, and the port will make things nice and easy (a port is just a large needle they stick into one of the major veins in your chest, and it stays there for the duration of his treatment, he won't have to put up with pokes in the arm, and medicine takes effect MUCH quicker when given through a port vs. a standard IV line).

Sorry about the news gigandude. What ruined my day is that I found out my Aunt's Dog almost died since it eat something (We still don't know) and we rush it to the vet. We know that he will be okay, but it was pretty close that he didn't made it.

No, I understand that entirely. The professor stated at the START of the class, THE FIRST DAY, it was just a rough outline for references. The only thing it says on there is "Paper due for two speakers." That's it. No instructions, nadda. She sent them out TONIGHT. Best part of all is that it was due this past Wednesday. Yup.

I'm good with keeping up on the syllabi for all of my other courses, do ALL of my assignments. I don't care about doing it, I gotta stay up anyway.

And considering I had a research paper on conduct disorders, rough draft of a paper on my college's alcohol policies, a paper on the chemical composition of buffalo sauce (I shit you not, THE hardest paper I have EVER had to write), and a take home test where I had to apply over 50 terms to the movie Captains Courageous, which included me to reword the definition, cite the page in our own textbook in APA correctly, give the scene where the term would be applicable, and explain why, a BS paper as to why and how Joel Olsteen and Steve Jobs applies/d ethos, pathos and logos to their speeches is NOTHING.

EDIT: To be clear, ^ was due on Monday and Tuesday.

My two closest friends are on the verge of argument and I really don't see any possible good ending to this. They're both extremely stressed out and their friendship is really deteriorating. I've tried all I can to help things out but I can't control or advise anymore at this point. But knowing the kind of pain it'll cause between them in the long run, I almost feel like it would be better to cut away both at the same time as a result - but cutting out both of my own closest friends, as well as depriving both of a friend, isn't going to help the situation in the long run that well, either.
