I work a civilian job in law enforcement where I essentially read and process police reports all day. Every morning I have to process ‘sudden death’ files, which are non-suspicious deaths that occurred outside the hospital. So usually old people dying of natural causes, suicides and drug overdoses. Real bright spot to look forward to every morning, but after a while you get used to it.

Anyway, today I read one where a toddler got sick and died, and it just has me bummed out. Not that the others aren’t sad too, but kid sudden deaths are rare and I’m not very used to them. They always kind of ruin my day.

This was one of three major factors that lead to me leaving the funeral directing field. I couldn't bear the idea of having to embalm or care for deceased infants or children.

You get used to it. Every new type of thing is always shocking to read at first, but then it kind of equalizes as you read more. I mean i don’t lose sense of the fact that’s its horrible, but you learn to steel yourself. I read my first child pornography case last week... that was rough.

But it also helps that about half of what I read in a day are just basic car collisions, which are really really mundane.

Damn storm in the middle of July wiped out one of my tvs ( and the receiver), KO'd my Wifi, and something on the side of my house broke, I still can't figure out what it was, whatever it was caused all my electronic problems. Thank goodness I unplugged me PS4 in time, I went all Keanu Reeves Matrix style to save it.

But nonetheless I'm alright, like that gopher in Caddyshack.

I was halfway done getting S-Ranks on all Cuphead bosses, and not only does the game freeze forcing me to restart my computer, but when I restart the game, The Original of my 3 game files with all my S-Ranks, visual filters, and progress is permanently deleted.

Over 100 hours of trial & error down the drain...
