Although I disagree with some of what you said, you deservedly put that post in its place. I hope what he was suggesting was hyperbole, because it was horrible.
I agree with KC. I still think you're a cool guy, Zarm! Besides, it's hard to look bad when you're standing up to someone who thinks anything he said is justifiable.

What exactly was this rant about?
Meeting vaccine opponents with reason rather than browbeating (which several already have, citing medical resources I was unaware of), and not so casually proposing taking people's children away.

(I mean, I didn't mean to derail this thread talking about myself on another thread; I was basically just bemoaning the fact that I'd committed social suicide by saying anything that could even remotely be interpreted as supporting anti-vaccine individuals- or in this case, calling for engagement rather than ridicule as a method of changing minds- and saying farewell to my reputation. :) )

Nothing crazy about meeting that other side of a debate with reason rather than derision. Thinking like that is probably what’s going to save the West, if I may be so bold as to make a massive seeeping statement like that.

Zarm, let me explain something to you. A few thing actually.

One, I rarely believe in holding my piece (as most of you have guessed). Rather let my peace wander hither and thither without restraint, though that may result in a few people irked about heir gardens. I don't blame you for not holding yours.

Two, the bar I have set to see whether or not something is socially acceptable is set very low. Few rants on many subjects would actually make me mad at someone, and weirdness is usually adds to how socially acceptable someone is to me.

Anyway Zarm, we (or I, who knows, the others may hate your guts) don't hold anything against you. You are still Zarm the awfully fine chap.

Here, here! There's nothing wrong with standing up for what you believe in!

I've seen quite a few people at their worst, and I still find reason for hope. All it takes to keep it is a little effort.

And let me tell you, it's worth it.

I use to think that way...but then my "concern" was
taken for granted too many times...so now I just look
out for one person...and one person only.

Me.

I pretend that you write simplistic posts that are 2-3 sentences long and doesn't assault the cognitive cortex of the human psyche nor the partially inferior medulla oblongata.

It was a really shit take on the matter, but it's not like I hold things against people for solely one reason.

I guess I'm enough of a pessimist to agree with you on that; there are some legitimate scumbags out there who have passed the point of no return.

That said, the people to really be concerned about here are the innocent kids being theoretically put at risk, rather than their parents.

And that said, I don't know enough about this issue to solidly plant my flag on either side of the line, so this is all I really have to say here.

But thankfully none of those scumbags seem to be members of this forum.

I'm having that feeling again in my stomach as I did back in May. Makes me not wanna do anything or eat. I'm trying to keep my Christmas Spirit up but its hard...-_-

Good thing I got an appointment with the doctor on the 2nd of January.

Added in 31 minutes 41 seconds:
Nevermind doing much better now. Convinced myself to not let it get to me because its the holidays and its no excuse to feel this way especially when I'm spending time with family this month. I ain't gonna do this to them.
