Music is a good stress-block, but I spend most of my day at college, in public, and since I don't have earphones, listening to music would be a bit of a nuisance for others trying to concentrate and study.

Friends are a definite "yes". I just have to wait until I reach the end of this week's class-schedule, so I have time to see them.

It didn't precisely ruin my day, but it was a bigger deal than merely "getting on my nerves...."

A big group of my friends are going down to the next county over to attent a celebration and have fun and just overall make an all-day road trip and good time out of the deal.

They invited me, and I told them it would interfere with my class schedule, and I couldnt come. Turns out I'm a fucking moron, and the event fell on a weekend.

Our goddamn calender is wrong, because it's out of date.

So I ask if I can go? Someone's taken my place. Willow asks me if she can get me a souvenir.

Unfortunately for me, I usually have come closest to the ones who are already in a relationship (though they decide to not tell you beforehand until you make a move). The pain of that revelation only lasts a couple of days at most, but whenever that happened, I inevitably just stopped talking to the girl that the situation such as yours occurred with due to awkwardness.
