Turkish theatrical poster for Fritz Lang's Metropolis. You guys know by now that I don't buy reprints, but I also usually don't buy re-release posters, either. Unfortunately, unless someone has a winning lottery ticket they want to give me, I won't be able to buy a 1927 Metropolis poster anytime soon. So, I compromised. This poster is a theatrical one-sheet from the 1984 re-release supervised and edited by Giorgio Moroder. It's not the Holy Grail or anything, but it's still a beautiful piece, and my collection couldn't be complete if this movie wasn't represented.

Also snagged this one a couple weeks back. Thai poster for "A Nightmare on Elm Street". The art on Thai posters are really something. Often garish, sometimes elegant, but always interesting. Here, they've kept the basics of the American one-sheet, but now you've got a border constructed of scenes from the film. My favorite part is the centipede slipping out of Tina's lips. It's one of the best shots in the movie, and I love that they put it in the poster.

Dino Crisis 2 ($5.99)

Still have $3.63 left, but there really isn't anything good for that much. And I stilll have a $20 card that I haven't redeemed yet...
