Kevin Pereira is leaving G4
http://www.examiner.com/article/kevin-p ... f-the-show

G4 isn't going to be on long now that they've lost two of their originals. If Morgan leaves their not going to be on the air much longer this feels like when all the original power rangers left.

A prisoner received a majority of the Democratic vote, and earned more than Obama during the West Virginia primary. Only in West-fucking-Virginia. -_-

I cant exactly blame him. It's a pretty sensitive issue that tends to divide people.

Re: Official News topic

It's not that I don't understand why he did so, but it's one of those things that just rankle me. His motives were so blatant, I found his constant avoidance of the issue to be more insulting than if he had simply disagreed with my view. To essentially know that my President agreed with me, but that he didn't have the intestinal fortitude to say so, pisses me right off.

And people are saying that he was hoping to keep the topic under wraps until after his campaign, so it had a smaller chance to affect the upcoming election, as though it were a legitimate defense. Of course, that idea angers me even more. I'm supposed to be alright with a politician who conceals their stance on a major issue, because if certain (admittedly ignorant) voters knew the truth, they might not vote for him? God forbid the American people understand who their candidates are and what they stand for.

This kind of thing embarrasses me a bit as well, because I'm constantly defending President Obama in conversation. I don't agree with many of his policies, but I honestly believed that he was a good man trying to do what he felt was best for the country. Lately, I'm feeling less charitable toward the administration, especially after his comments regarding the Supreme Court. Unprecedented? Hell no. Passed by a strong majority? Hell no. The president banking on the general public's ignorance of the Federal government and current politics? Most definitely.

*sigh*

I know that Obama is not the first person to act like this in office. He's damn sure not our "worst president" or anything like many historically-challenged people have been saying, but sometimes everyone gets tired of the political games, and just wants to hear a straight talker. I want Will Rogers for president.

The problem CD is most people dont research candidates before voting and being a "straight talker" will get you no where.

President Obama states he's ok with gay marriage. Wanna know what conservatives in the south hear?

"DAT NEGROS IS GUNNA LET DA HOMOS GET MARRIED! MARRIAGE IZ FER MEN & WIMMEN ONLY! I AM NOT VOTEN FER DAT <bleep!>" and they lose votes and electoral college points.

Wanna know what happens when a straight talker who doesnt play games tries to pass a bill? Shit gets tacked on increasing taxes, bullshit rewording of laws, changes to programs lobbyists want pushed through and the president has to veto it. And even then a 2/3ds Congressional vote can overturn a veto.

It's all a game. The problems? Lobbyists, special interests groups and political parties.

You're absolutely right, wataru, but it still gets tiring in the long run.

The essential quandary is whether one prefers an open and honest candidate that will likely not get elected, or the shifty one that can slip in by following the rules of the game, and perhaps accomplish some good while they're there. It essentially boils down to practicality vs. personal morality, and that can be a tough one.
