On the subject of the upcoming apocaslypse. As some of you may heard, Snooki from the JERSEY SHORE is pregnant. And from some peoples' calculations, the little squab will be entering this world December 22. The same day as the Mayan calender supposedly has it pointed out when the end of the world is set to happen,

December 21st is the day they predicted.

And the Mayans also didn't account for leap year. So, under the non-leap year calender (such as the Mayan one), we'd be in the summer of 2013 now.

The Mayans never predicted an apocalypse. Paranoid westerners with little understanding (and perhaps less respect) for Mayan culture hijacked their calander and turned it into a doomsday clock.

Basically the Sun was acting up on Tuesday and letting off a bunch of solar flares, which are resulting in Earth getting solar storms. The only thing that anyone really seems to be concerned about, unless I've missed something, is the potential for interruptions in global communications.
