I have a feeling it will be the Classic Media DVD of MONSTER ZERO, since Takarada-san is attending again.

I have a feeling that The Saturday film will be an Ultra Man Movie.

I'd prefer Monster Zero, but I'd also be cool with a decent Ultraman flick. I'm actually really liking this different sort of movie-lineup. See Gorgo and The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms in a theatre? Hell yes!

I think that's a better idea, actually. Then at the very least, they could play the Japanese Blu-ray that actually has English subtitles.

Only one that interests me is Kong... ok maybe Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, too. And why couldn't they have chosen, say, Gamera vs Gyaos?! Yeah, yeah, I see the theme they're rolling with. I'm just being a complainer.

Last year's list had a lot more I'd be enthused to see on a screen.
Now it's dark...

All of the Shout! Factory Gamera releases look amazing, and are in HD to boot. Any of them would have looked better than what they're planning to screen. GAMMERA THE INVINCIBLE doesn't exist outside of faded PD releases that are in fullscreen, so I really don't know how they're going to handle that. The only letterboxed version was the VHS release by Neptune Media, and that's not an option for obvious reasons.

The only Shout! Gameras that look bad are ZIGRA and SUPER MONSTER. For some reason those two are interlaced and suffer from really bad aliasing. Still, I assume the HD source masters from Kadokawa aren't plagued by those problems and look as spectacular as the rest. It's a shame when a series that began as a Godzilla cash-in has received far better video presentations on DVD and Blu-ray than most of the Godzilla series itself courtesy of Toho's garbage transfers.

G Fest Dealer News !!

This year the following dealers will NOT be at the show: Clawmark, Monster Island Toys and Monsterland Toys.
This is good news for guys like myself who have tables at the show and more of an incentive to load up on merchandise.

I so can't wait for G-Fest, only 43 more days away. When Cimmerian Dragon and I went last yr for our first, my god it was spectacular... minus the car ride home, which sucked for us because I had to buy $5000 worth of merchandise and couldn't see out the back window and were pretty much squished lol ain't gonna be the case this yr.

That sucks man! I am probably going to skip out next year and save for Godzilla's 60th anniversary in 2014. The only way I am going next year is if Harou Nakajima is attending ;)

I don't know if that'll happen. He did have a TON of energy last year at MonsterPalooza but he's 84 now.

I really hope Nakajima can make G-Fest just one more time. One of my greatest regrets is not seeing him the year he was there.

I live in the Northern Chicago burbs and have always wanted to go to G-Fest, but never seem to make it. I think I'm going this year.

I was looking at the site and wanted to know if the movie screenings are included in the ticket price or if you have to pay for each film you watch at the Pickwick Theater. If so, what's the general price of each movie?

Pay by film or by double feature, and the price varies. I think they were roughly $5 last year, but my brain...not so good with the whole "remembering details" thing.

Thursday's shows (King Kong, Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, Gorgo and Gamera) will be $20 all together I believe. And then Godzilla KOTM and the mystery film will be $10 each because they're evening shows.

Edit: Godzilla vs. Destoroyah has been revealed to be the mystery film. I'm stoked!
