I enjoy most Marvel and DC Animated shows & films, but I haven't read any of the comics since probably the late 90's since they stopped numbering most series and started rebooting everything. But I do go to scan them on a regular basis looking for details I think are cool or interesting. I'm probably way behind, but I just saw recently where Colossus (My favorite X-Man) has somehow gained the powers of the Juggernaut. Without going into tons of detail I was wondering if someone could explain in maybe 2 or 3 sentences how this happened? Also I wonder if with this increased power how he would stand against the Incredible Hulk? Done get me wrong. I know Colossus is strong, but he was never in the same strength class as Hulk, but now with the Juggernauts power I'm thinking he might at least be able to exchange blows with him? Of course the Hulk may have gotten stronger as well since last I read anything. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Cain/Juggernaut became Kuurth, one of the Heralds of The Serpent in Fear Itself. To battle him, Cyttorak and Colossus struck a bargain to give Colossus the powers of Juggernaut.

And I do not approve! It killed off my OTP for the comics! The only pairing in the comics I like!

I assume you mean Kitty & Colossus. Yeah that kind of sucks, but they always get back together again it seems.

I love the superheroes since I was a kid, but honestly I only use to know them through the cartoons and movies growing up. But I've in the past two years have been traveling a lot and needed something to do, so I started following the comics for the first time. Right now, I've been reading Deadpool (my favorite character 8-) ), Venom, Amazing Spider-Man, and just got Avenging Spider-Man 1-3 (haven't read them yet), and so far I really like them. I also read the Fear Itself story arc but that confused me.

I'm just wondering what else would be a good read while I'm on the road cuz so far besides what I've mentioned I've only read comics with Deadpool in them.

I've heard good stuff about Secret Avengers. Interestings. I'm excited to give it a shot.

Anyway, Uncanny X-Force would be a good read for you King-Godzilla due to the fact that Deadpool is a major character.

I'm currently behind in my reading of the Marvel Universe, and I'm somewhere around late Dark Reign. Personally, I love most of the X-men books, Secret Warriors (great espionage series with Nick Fury), and anything with Moon Knight.

Fantastic Four is always a lite book to read. Its self contained most of the time with neat stories.

Would it be best to get a specific story arc first for X-Men, or should I just pick up any of the newest comic?

I was intrigued when they became a major role in Deadpool's recent "Dead" story arc, but I haven't bought any of them yet.

Speaking of "Dead," I really hope they don't really kill off Deadpool, but if they do I hope they won't just have someone else wear the mask and take on the name until Wade comes back in some mysterious way.

I would recommend alittle back reading before just jumping into X-Men.

You got about 7 years of tightly written stories:

House of M TPB (M Day: Mutants depowered or killed from millions to 198)

Messiah CompleX TPB (birth of the first mutant since M Day, Hope Summers)

Cable 1-10 (Cable & Hope traveling through time avoiding an assassin named Lucas Bishop, an X-Man)

X-Force TPB Vol. 1 (Cyclops forms a team of no-holds-barred to do wetworks missions)

X-Force/Cable Messiah War TPB (X-Force is sent to find Cable and bring Hope back. Apocalypse & Stryfe)

Cable 16-25 (Cable & Hope continue to evade Bishop, and come back to the 21st century)

X-Men: Utopia TPB (X-Men move from Westchester, NY to Utopia Island, San Francisco)

X-Men Second Coming TPB (Cable & Hope come back; casualties mount; battle Bastion in the end game)

X-Men Second Coming Revelations TPB (recovering from Second Coming, Hope learns more)

X-Men Schism (explains how/why Cyclops and Wolverine had a falling out and Wolverine moved back to Westchester and opened his own mutant school)

Avengers: X-Sanction (4 issues, Cable comes back from the dead)

Avengers vs X-Men (current storyline)

Why hey! Thanos is returning in the sixth avengers on-going we have that had that suspiciously similar #1 cover of the new 52 Justice League.

I should be happy about this buuuuut it's bendis doing the avengers so it looks like I'll pass on it until someone else takes over. But here's the cover of his return and good God does his face look terrible on that cover.

BTW Im reading all the 2009-present Thor books and Siege. EPIC!

He looked better in Annihilation. He wore a robe/priest type outfit. 'Course Drax shanked his ass in the end.

Thanos can't die, at all now, thanks to Death's machinations so to defeat Lord Mar-Vell and the denizens of the Cancerverse. He was trapped with the presumably killed Star-Lord and Nova Richard Rider when the Cancerverse collapsed upon itself when Lord Mar-Vell was tricked into bringing Death back to the Cancerverse by sacrificing Thanos. Thus destroying it. Part of the power upgrade Death gave the mad Titan in THE THANOS IMPERIATIVE was he could no longer die, and thus could be no longer with the love of his life. So along with his inability to die, Thanos has vast power (the explosive power of an army of Chuck Norri), and the knowledge on how to use to it. So escaping a collapsing universe would be a problem for the Mad Titan, but only for awhile. And I'm actually enjoying this opening arc of AVENGERS ASSEMBLE with the new Zodiac Cartel. Bendis and Bagley are doing an admirable job with the opening arc so far. Likewise AVX's party seems to cruising quite nicely along so far. And Cyclops is a dick for starting the fight.

Oddly enough, Ive decided to try to read up on some old Ultimates comics. I own a ton of Ultimate Spider-Man and Ultimate X-Men but theyre just shit books. Ultimate Fantastic Four and The Ultimates are where it's at...

...so I read all of The Ultimates (2002) and Ultimate War and I just gotta say - UGH. The X-Men are just so badly written and STUPID. I swear the only reason these books made it to 100 issues was because they wanted to kill off these characters and NOT bring them back because in 616 no one dies.
