I was referring to the AVX arc in general.

Issue 6 (or 12) started to turn good. The other comics are pretty much sidelines. Like when Emma Frost became part of the Phoenix Five, she came to destroy the Sentinel in AA. Now Giant Man, X-23 and all the students are standing upto her.

The problem is, AvsX and all the fringe, tie-in and prequel books (New Avengers and Secret Avengers are prequels, taking place BEFORE AvsX 4) are mostly meaningless filler just meant to get people to buy the books.

AvsX VS is worthless. It takes 1-3 panels fights in AvsX and expands them.

Jonathan Hickman's Avengers is supposedly going to have a massive roster of around 18 heroes.

Who would you like to see on the team?

I would like to see some creative and unique heroes there for a change. Seeing Moon Knight (I know he's been an Avenger before, but still) or even some other out there characters would be neat.

18 is insane. That's about 12 too many.

I want to see the sentry come back and have some justice done with him. I know Paul Jenkins said he would like to do one more book with him, so bring him back already.

Well guess who's writing Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and the avengers now? Joe Quesada! D:< And not only that, but the art is going to be a combination of his art, Rob Liefeld's, and the guy who worked on kingdom of monsters!!! That's what you get, buddy so enjoy the shitty stories, shitty shitty art, and the shitty, shitty, shitty delays due to art!

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The Sentry can be done right, with the right writer but Bendis is clearly not the right guy to write him.

Wow I just found out that Gwen Stacy had kids with Norman Osborn and the reason the kids couldn't be Peter's is because Marvel thought adult kids would age Peter too much? How young or old do they think 616 Peter is, if they were going to use a accelerated age story line Peter could still only be 29 tops.

Hey question: when the ACTUAL Spider-Man films came out, they had collections of various adventures of said villain fighting spidey. So with the not so amazing reboot, is there a collection of various lizard stories?

^You didn't like the reboot. Must be lonely out there because the buzz I've been hearing(Nights With Alice Cooper ,and the majority of fan thoughts on the web have been pretty positive. After avoiding them like the plague until after I saw the flick I have to agree it was a pretty cool flick.

Anywho, on any collections/trade paperbacks featuring the Lizard offered/re-offered to coincide with the Amazing flick's arch villain appearance, I don't seem to recall seeing any solicitations for them at all. If your on the hunt for them I'd recommend the trade paperback collections to SPIDER-MAN:TORMENT which collects the first five issues of the Spider-Man series written and drawn by trailblazing Spidey artist. Which has the Lizard on a bloody rampage through New York while under the control of the voodoo preistess, and former lover to Kraven The Hunter, Calypso. The storyline also is the first to really play up the Lizard's regeneration ability featured in the flick. The other would be issue 313 of Amazing Spider-Man, which also drawn by McFarlane, and written by David Micheline. Which is also a tie-in to the INFERNOevent, which features a rather chilling flashback to Dr. Connors' first transformation into the Lizard with Connors, after taking the formula. Shows a stubby, developing lizard arm growing much to the doctor's horrorfied expression. The next one, is a AMAZING SPIDER-MAN:THE GAUNTLET-THE LIZARD, a post-Brand New Day storyline updating the Lizard to new horrific heights in a storyline entitled Shed. Which ties into the current storyline running through Amazing, No Turning Back. Written by Zeb Wells(Carnage, Carnage U.S.A.) and Fred Van Lente, with art chores by Carlos Bachelo(Generation X).

No,haven't seen it yet but I still won't like it either way probably and to the other comment, people said avatar was such a great film yet look what happened there. ;) I'm quite surprised that the spill.com crew didn't like it but we'll see either way when I see it.

But thanks for the help either way.

Honestly, never read much good about AVATAR. While I thought the effects and 3D were phenomianl. And at least worth checking out for the 3D and effects in the theater(hell after th e flick was over ,and the glasses came off, I felt like I just got off the Tilt-A-Whirl) the story played a wee bit too much like a Green Party PSA.

Wow. Back when it came out, SOO MANY people praised it and... It got a best picture nomination at the oscars, yeah.

Now that's exciting!

Isn't High Moon the company that did War for Cybertron?

As for Deadpool, while I find the guy funny, I feel he works best when he operates with a serious back drop. When it gets too comedic, it loses its focus and just becomes a comedy hour with little plot or investment.

Hmm... Will the game make or break it with me when it comes to deadpool? We shall see but so far I'm not really all that impressed with him. Sure I found his mugen counterpart hilarious but I didn't find him that funny in Hulk vs. and in MVC3/UMVC3 I found him to be less funny an more real annoying and the fact he's the new Wolverine whore at Marvel makes me kind of like him less. I did read deadpool classics #1 and I kind of liked it but that's mainly because it was a balance before where he was kind of serious and comedic. I need to read volume 2 and see if maybe that changes my mind but for now.... Deadpool isn't that funny.

.... Deathstroke > Deadpool. :P

Am I in for a good read? or did I waste my $5?

Now someone who's still kind of on his rule of "No more spider-man until OMD is fixed unless it's an alternate universe or a writer's run", I say it's a good buy ESPCIALLY for that price. The book is really pulp fiction like and I heard some people compare it to the shadow and I can see why.

I also say check out Spider-man reign too, as it's the dark knight returns equivalent of spider-man but it's still pretty good.
