Sounds like a personal problem to me.

As a fan of Cap since 1999? Yeah it is. Even reading the 1940s issues with Cap, he wasnt some 20something stereotype WWII green soldier. I know theyre trying to make these films more realistic - but from what Ive seen of Cap, I dont like the portrayl. Especially when you put him up against Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth. To be honest, Gerard Butler wouldve made a better Cap. Or even Chris Hemsworth!

They only used CG to make him skinny... the muscles are real.

He was born in the 1930's. So, yes it's old.

Because he looks like "Hollywood 22." Tony Stark is not 47 years old (RDJ is). But RDJ looks Hollywood 35.

I just dont like Chris Evans. He's NOT Captain America. MAYBE Bucky.

I dont really agree with the casting of many of the super hero movies that have been made recently. Asides from RDJ. He is doing a great job of Tony Stark. I think hollywood is to concerned with picking actors they think will appeal to as many people as they can rather than picking actors that are actually suited to the role. Chris Evans doesn't have that old school WW2 soldier feel to him and Hemsworth doesnt have the viking feel to him either. I will still see the Avengers film when I get the chance though I would have preferred an Ultimate Avengers film!

I thought the same of Hemsworth until I saw him and how he towered over the other actors in the film.

Youre not going to find that Norse-look in actors today. Triple H wouldve cast the look well, but acted like ass. I get more of an Ultimate Thor feel off Hemsworth and Ultimate Iron Man off RDJ but RDJ is less whiney and more 616 so it balances nicely.

Chris Evans was cast PERFECTLY for Human Torch, Tobey PERFECTLY for Spider-Man, Edward Norton PERFECTLY for Bruce Banner. I get the feeling Chris Evans only got Cap so 17 year old girls would want to see it with Green Lantern's Ryan Reynolds (another turd).

I agree. Triple H would have looked great for the part but I am sure there are plenty of other actors out there who could look like Thor and act like a badass. I though Ryan Reynolds sucked as Green Lantern but I thought he was great for Deadpool! I would love to see the Deadpool movie done well. Hollywood needs to stop casting pretty people as characters just to boost the ratings!

I still like Gerard Butler as Captain America. If they had done Cap 10 years earlier, I would've said Kurt Russell. But it's a bit long in the tooth now. He'd make a good 616 Nick Fury.

They shouldve tracked down The Techno Viking to play Thor.

Image and let Chris dub him.

Probably because he's not a teenager lusting after the blood of the Japanese.

That might have something to do with it.

I disagree with this. I didn't like Tobey as Peter. Not saying I know who I would cast in the role, but I just didnt like his performance.

Yeah I didnt think Tobey was right for the role either. I thought Willem Defoe made a great Green Goblin though. I usually disapprove of radical changes to character design but I thought what they did with the character was pretty good. I thought Topher Grace as Eddie Brock was a terrible terrible choice though. Spoilt the entire movie for me. Along with other things...

The only characters I liked from the Spider-Man movies were Uncle Ben, Aunt May, and JJ.

J.K Simmons was the best part of the Raimi trilogy

That's not even debatable man.

Amen, he looked perfect, and he captured JJs character perfectly.

I thought James Franco was fine actually. He was a decent enough Harry Osborne. They didn't write him well in the third Spider-man film though.

Does anyone know what have been Marvels top selling comic series of all time?
I assume Spider-Man and X-men but whats behind them?

Freaking Marvel. Right when I decide I'm done with you, you tempt me with new Lizard storylines, the reappearance of Toxin in the Venom comics, and damn the new Moon Knight comic is supposed to be great. Why won't you let me quit!?!

EDIT: Damn it, I relent. I'm getting back into Marvel, but I'm really considering dropping numerous titles once I reach Siege. What's worth reading at that point? I was thinking of only reading Spider-man, Secret Warriors, Venom, Moon Knight, and Avengers Academy seeing as I've heard good things about all of them and they feature characters I already like. I've also heard good things about Secret Avengers.

Any suggestions?

I'd also suggest HULK (both the Jason Aaron and Jeff Parker titles) , Thunderbolts, and Daredevil!

Finally picked up Messiah Complex, and I gotta say Wataru, I loved the hell out of it. So much that I went ahead and blew over a hundred dollars on the rest of the story right off the bat. Gonna be a while before I read them all though.
