Re: The official dead celebrity thread

Post by EdGojira »

I did not manage to talk about Leonard Nimoy's passing when I first heard about it. How saddening it is to see him go. The day I found out I could not stop thinking about him. Such a significant loss.

The man lived to be 83. May he live long and prosper in our hearts and minds.
How long has it been? I honestly forgot.

Ah, I faintly remember him in Seinfeld and the Silence of the Lambs.

RIP
(Also, he died on 3/1/14)

How does SpaceGodzilla stand any chance at all? It's obvious SpaceGodzilla is the victor here.
Prove it. Spacegodzilla's feats are MILES above Spacegodzilla's, and don't even try the "outlier" route.

Well, he may not be a "celebrity" in that way, but Sir Terry Pratchett (author of "Discworld") died two days ago.

From his twitter:

"AT LAST, SIR TERRY, WE MUST WALK TOGETHER."
Terry took Death’s arm and followed him through the doors and on to the black desert under the endless night.
The End

I died today, right before I became really famous.
Before it can be filmed, drawn, acted or programed, it must be written.

Sad to report the deaths today of two great character actors.

The first is Richard A. Dysart at 86.(http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/96317/ ... -a-dysart/). Known as Leland Mckenzie from L.A. LAW. Doc Copper from John Carpenter's THE THING.Other flicks such as Prophecy, Back To the Future III, and the teleflick Day One.

The other being Geoffrey Lewis at 79.(http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/96317/ ... rey-lewis/) Probably known mostly among film fans here as Clint Eastwood's side kick, the one who was not the orangutan, in Every Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can. Also Tango & Cash, The Devil's Rejects, and Night of the Comet.

^ Damn. Geoffrey Lewis passed? He was in SO many things! He was an outlaw in "Lust in the Dust", with Tab Hunter & Divine. He was killed by a werewolf in the made-for-TV "Moon of the Wolf", starring David Janssen. He was in some SyFy Originals too.

RIP, Geoffrey. You will be missed.

Must take after her mom - which I'm sure Geoffrey was very happy about.

The legendary comic artist Herb Trimpe passed away yesterday at 75. Hopefully some G-Fans will remember him for his work on the Marvel Godzilla comics.
