I heard it's somewhere between 50 and 55.

Though certain factors can cause it to happen earlier or later.

You know, with the way you talk about your mom, if she is 40ish, she is probably going through menopause, causing the mood swings. But you, you are an ungrateful son. She needs to take off her belt and whoop the shit outta you. IMO
