I'm talking shattered toys that were in over-sized cartons, cocooned in bubble wrap, and clearly marked "Fragile" on every side of the box. USPS may be slow and inefficient, but they've never done that to me.
Ive never had a problem with UPS. Ive actually had UPS drivers call me at the end of their day to make sure I was home and to find the house. I remember once I had ordered a Batman Beyond Batmobile and it was supposed to arrive on my birthday. They called at 8:45p to get directions and brought it to me.
Actually, I like my local UPS carrier. I don't think he was responsible for the problems I've had in the past, and he even pointed out a crushed spot on a box and told me I'd better check it out before I signed for it, once.
It's the folks that work between the acceptance point, and the local drivers, that seem to have an unholy fascination with destroying my shit. Maybe you've had better luck, but I've been burned enough times that I simply choose to deal with the USPS when possible.
