Another thing: I think Hollywood creature designers have a very, very constrained view of what "realism" is. Real animals can absolutely be just as weird and goofy as any stereotypical movie monster:















I think too many people have been conditioned to play it overly safe and reuse the same elements to a borderline incestous degree with creature designs, especially aliens.

Evolution gives no fucks and does pretty much whatever the hell it wants to.

I was never the biggest Batman fan. Not that I have anything against the character, but for some reason I kinda prefer him in secondary roles.

I find the English dub of Dragon Ball Z Kai is superior to that of anything that came before.

Same. Admittedly, I use to be one of those nostalgia-blinded morons who hated Kai. Looking back on it now, I can't even begin to understand what I was thinking! But that's beside the point. On topic:

while I have nothing against him, I find Wolverine to be a very overrated character. The X-Men as a whole (with a few exceptions) I find to be overrated.

Well. Might as well give this a go.

- Batman is one of the most overrated characters. I don't mind the character too much, but come on. He's not as hype as people build him up to be. Not to mention how many times the writers or whoever treat him like a god who can triumph all. It's annoying.

- I don't think Smash Bros. Melee is the best entry. Certainly a strong one, no doubt, but the best? Eeeh. I feel Smash 4 is better. But that's just me.

- I actually don't think Charizard is as overrated as people say. Hell, I think that opinion is more popular than the actual Pokémon.

- Monster Hunter is a series I would love to see branch out beyond just the typical gameplay. Stories and Worlds are a step in the right direction to shake things up. With that said...

- We honestly didn't need MHXX. As much as I like the features and Valfalk's concept, Generations should have just had more development to make a complete game. I know, it's Capcom. They'll make the Ultra Hyper Alpha Turbo edition of something that works. But we could have had a really cool new entry instead of Generations DLC.

I think Shin Godzilla is by far the worst Godzilla design even (gasp) worse than G'98.......( Cracks knuckles...lets go fuckers).

I hate that the DBZ super series screwed the first two movies making them obsolete.

-I hate the Sans x Toriel shipping, and all the hate towards Asgore.
-Going on from the above, I can't ship Toriel and Asgore with anyone but each other. They're just perfect together.
-Super Smash Bros. Melee is overrated af. Smash 4 is the superior game.
-I still consider Zilla to be Godzilla.
-I think Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman, and Suicide Squad are great films.
-I don't think the MLP fanbase is dying out so soon.
-I greatly prefer the English dub to animes in general over the Japanese dub.

Like I said, it's not an opinion I hold consistently. They're both fucking great.

Surely the kids here - being sci-fi/giant monster fans - at least remember ol' Clint from his minor, uncredited roles in Revenge of the Creature and Tarantula!

I don't mind the Special Editions of the original Star Wars trilogy and, honestly, I don't mind revisionism / retconning in general. There's always room for improvement, IMO.

I only dislike it when someone goes of their way to get rid of all copies and/or evidence of a preexisting version of something instead of trying to preserve it.
