What is considered a funny pic?
Does it have to make everybody laugh or find humor in it? I see many pics here that I dont care for.
I mean whats funny about 99% of these?
So I want to know what is considered a truly funny pic?
Should it please everyone or just the person posting it? Many of these have no context to it...but, hey, if its deformed or stupid its o.k

What should be considered funny here? You may have posted that sarcastic picture but in the end is it funny to you? I see no specifics stated on this thread about what is considered funny. A big hentai moth funny? UI Shaggy? Should we ALL have to post context of every picture to let others in on the joke? Which to me is stupid.

I suggest we end this debate here and now, before we all end up insulting each other.

On the actual topic, a few of the members of the team looked at this issue and created a new rule for the thread.

5). Do not post images of stuff that have no comedic value whatsoever. That includes ordinary pictures of random objects (Apples, Pencils, etc) or Hentai (Also includes big breasted girls with no humorous intent). This will help reduce spam and to potentially prevent the mod/admin staff from misinterpreting what you posted. These types of pictures should have at least some sort of noticeable pay off or actual joke to them.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask us and we'll do our best to answer them.

Just to add a note to GvJ's post:

We're not asking people to spell out the joke for everybody in BIG BOLD LETTERS by any means. If you have to explain the joke then there is no joke and whatnot. We just want a little context or set-up or whatever just so that we know it's a joke and where it's going, even if we don't find it funny. Why share a pic if nobody is going to get the joke to begin with? Otherwise, it just looks like you're spamming pics and that's just gonna irritate folks.

For what it’s worth, I think the humour of the stock photos is pretty self evident. It’s irony. It doesn’t matter if you don’t think it’s funny, but they’re clearly intended to be funny ironically, or just funny for being random. Don’t see how people are missing that, and personally I find them hilarious. Seems kind of needlessly strict to ban them. And anyway, since when do threads in the general section need strict rules? Who does that really serve? The whole fun of this section is that it’s a little looser than the rest of the forum.

Hentai on the other hand, nah, those are not ‘funny’ pictures. That doesn’t qualify.
