Not to derail this topic anymore, but, yes, it was a great experience. I was only 14/15 at the time, so learning some of the language was a little too daunting, what with just having finished middle school, and trying to enjoy my summer before having to live in another country for 6 months.

I was also completely incapable of talking to girls casually back then (that "ability" didn't blossom until a couple years later), so it wouldn't have done me any good anyway.

Brazilian girls really are bangin' though. But that kind of goes without saying, doesn't it?
