I have a question.

How and when did Mongel declare himself leader of the Sinestro Corp and is it published in a graphic novel?

After reading all the Green Lantern stories; I'm really digging Sinestro.
I was mentioned in the SciFi Japan article about the appearence of extras on the Godzilla vs. Megalon DVD.

I believe it happens in the pages of Green Lantern Corps, not sure which volume of the graphic novels though.

He started killing members of Sinestro's corp I believe in issues 17-21 and took it over right after Sinestro CW was over. Sinestro took it back during the first arc of BN.

Thanks for the info.

I found the graphic novel: Green Lantern Corp. Ring Quest. I was wondering about that since he's a focal point in Sins of the Star Sapphire and Emeral Eclipse.

Robin Hood is the inspiration for Green Arrow and Arrow both.

GA is hardly a rip off of the Arrow (who is a wonderful character. I have most of his stories and his three solo comics).
Arrow just came out before GA is all. That is where the similarities stop (Though in the 80s they did give Green Arrow a hood as a nod to the Arrow).

Here is a rough sketch I did of the Arrow back when a guy I knew wanted to produce some stories about the character.

@ guardian: Ha ha ha.... Someone taking me seriously and not understanding my sarcasm. :3

GAME OVER YEEEAAAHHH!!!!

Bwahahahaha! Course the arrow will have a better figure then DCUC Green Arrow. :P

So I'm reading grant morrison's JLA stuff today, and so far I got an issue done. Interesting set-up for a first issue but the 90's art kind of bothers me.

And soon, I shall read up on DC's run on Tarzan AND the so called GREATEST EVENT OF All TIME, Crisis on infinite earths.

Reading COIE now after IC and FC is just stupid. Nothing that happened in COIE matters in current canon.

Also, the core books slap SO MUCH together ...theyre extremely hard to read.

The fact that Amethyst was totally wiped out in less then 1 page in the core books makes me said.

Who says I'm doing it for current canon? :3 I'm just doing it for the fun of it all, that and I've been meaning to read it since I sort of skimmed it in the past.

Trust me, it will be boring. Its like reading The Great Darkness Saga or Magic Wars in LOSH. They have no barring on anything.

Meh.... Opinion denied until I read the book and judge it for myself!

So this absolute justice book I've heard of, with art done by Alex Ross is it any good?

Robin Hood is the inspiration for Hawkeye as well IIRC? I always did like Green Arrow better then Hawkeye if you ask me.

^ I kind of doubt his inspiration was robin hood, and it's quite obvious GA's was Robin Hood.
While wataru's opinion is still in limbo about COIE, who here is a fan of Tom Strong? I love it as I'm a fan of the classic golden age characters such as the phantom, doc savage, Tarzan, and others. Yes, I know Tarzan isn't a comic book character but he was a form of inspiration of Tom Strong. God, I love Alan Moore. :3

And Suck on this, you Namor loving Aquaman haters! D:< :

Nope.

And in other news... Watchmen!

Oh Alan Moore, you're my favorite author but at times you're a major douche bag. And what did DC do that caused Moore to be so pissed off?
