I find it hard believe that people still don't believe in Evolution when I think their is enough proof that it exist.

There is no scientific proof for God. There is no scientific proof for Evolution. Proof and evidence are two completely different things that are often used interchangeably. Science is not some miraculous device that will solve all our problems. It has it's limits, even in the physical universe. Only with a balance between science and faith can someone have a "complete" view of the world, correct or otherwise.

Credo in Deum Patrem omnipotentum. "I believe in God the Father almighty". The beginning of the Apostle's Creed. It goes on to state some of the most basic beliefs in the Christian faith, sadly which are no longer acknowledged by the majority of people who call themselves "Christians".

Zillas... you and I are on the same page...

I am a Presbyterian Christian, one whom believes in a young earth (NOT 6,000 years old, as Ussher thought, but I personally think mor elike somewhere between 7,000 and 10,000 years...), that the days of creation were literal, 6-day events, and I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that none of it is in error... Tis so sad, how so many supposed "Christians" are post-modernists whom take "The Bible AND..." approach...
Hope... I will find it!

I know MANY Christians (Evangelists, Baptists, Methodists, Catholics) that are highly intelligent open minded people. I can say the same of Jews and Buddhists though I dont know any Muslims.

I will say this: Dont blame the religion of the masses. Not all <insert religion> are asshats. Just the uneducated herd-minded folk.

BTW - Im American. I worship the dollar, the gun and the smut.

Despite the fact that, you know, there is light that has been traveling to Earth for longer than that.

That's one thing I don't get about Religon when we have proof that the Earth has been around for billions of years, and animals like Dinosaurs have been around before the Human race. I find it hard to believe that people still believe that the Earth is 6,000 years old.

^ LOL.

I have no real opinion in the matter, but one thing I would like to point out is that it is written/suggested in the Christian Bible that the Earth had existed before the time of Creation.

Genesis 1:2 (KJV) wrote:And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

So take that for what you will.

I don't believe the Earth was created 6,000 years ago either, and I know several religious people of several different beliefs who don't believe that. It should be common knowledge that there's notable scientific evidence saying otherwise.
