You can. But when you start saying a hypothetical figure is going to be better than one of the most popular maker's best figures--even though Y-MSF has a very hit and miss track record for sculpts--people are going to disagree with you, and they'll probably say so.

To my knowledge he is still working on Caesar and he said it is 3-4 weeks to finish a sculpt so. Why not talk about Caesar since there is a possiblity that'll be better than Bandai's version.

Now THAT Bandai is both old and sub-par. I could definitely see the Y-MSF being a better figure in that case. The prototype pieces I've seen look all right, but not enough to judge by.

The Y-MSF King Seesar is bound to be better than the existing Bandai vinyl. The Bandai version is one of their worst.

I'm perfectly fine with people disagreeing with me. It happens all the time. I'm just very confused as to why people can't entertain the possibility of a more detailed Titanosaurus figure coming from Y-MSF (whose best figures haven't even been released). The Bandai sculpt isn't be all, end all. I can understand the love it gets, but I also see absolutely no reason to stagnate. It's not 100% suit accurate. That doesn't mean it sucks. It does, however, mean that there's room for improvement. That shouln't be insulting to anyone.

And yes, I owned it.... Though pics from the internet could've shown me the ffiner points and flaws just as well.

Regarding Y-MSF Accuracy.
Image
At no point did the Sea Snake ever have its tongue sticking out and truth be told it does not have scales and I do not think the sculpt is very movie accurate.
Image

And in this film and in KK Vs G, Kong never picked up a rock that was bigger than he was.
Image

Therefore I do think find the Y-MSF rock to be accurate either.

Lol, fascinating. What about the octopus? You forgot to deconstruct him.

Because it is just a generic octopus.

I don't really understand the logic behind the sea snake/octopus/rock release. Especially when they had perfectly good sculpts of Kamacuras and other monsters to release. But then, that's probably been beaten into the ground already, lol.

It wouldn't be any suprise to me if Tony said that the snake and others should be released since he thought they would sell. Sometimes he is incharge in what is produce from what I have been told.

To be clear, Bugs's remark was referring to Tony ("It's not a bootleg"), not Mr. Kawakami.

The snakes, the rocks and some other items from that line look like they belong in a dollar store.

Basically seen... the rocks/snakes/etc. are just accessories for the bigger character figures. SHMA has also sold some accessories separately. Why so much buzz on Y-MSF, but not so much with SHM then...?

That is true. People complain about how a rock is useless well so is a $155 set of tanks, aircrafts and a red beam.

Boom. Yes.

I love the Bandai King Caesar figures. I still need the repainted release and the 8" versions, but I dig the classic 6" I have in my lineup. He has a lot of character, but is a rather inaccurate, bulky sculpt with a very minimalistic paint job. From what I've seen of the Y-MSF sculpt so far, it should be an awesome addition to any collection. Caesar figures are scarce as it is.

Caesar... Seesar... Sheesa... I'm actually curious as to what everyone else "calls" him and/or spells it. I know there are several variations. I've always just spelled it Caesar, since that is how I pronounce it. Caesar is the official English title for Toho, I believe, but Seesar seems to be a very popular way of spelling it as well.

I spell it "Seesar", but I think Ceasar is proper.

This mini King Caesar is a lot better than Bandai's sculpt.
And while we are at it, this mini Kumonga is better than Y-MSF's version
