I'm assuming you have the newer one. The original release was a complete mess.

That we can agree on.

To answer your question Godzilla 2000, the answer is YES it happen! However, I'm not like some people on here and name names! Go ask the people who sell them if you don't believe me! Legion just made my point, and he wasn't even there! He even knows how they were made! Also, the 56 Rodan head bobbling is just another case in point to this! The main Y-MSF distributor for the USA is a close personal friend and he know of these problems with the toy line!

I mentioned that already. Why even bother arguing with people who don't conform to logic.

So in other words, you cant/wont prove that it happened, but expect me to just take your word for it, even knowing you're clearly biased.

Yeah, ok.

Go ask the people who sell them if you don't believe me!

I cant exactly do that when you refuse to name them. :P

Legion just made my point, and he wasn't even there!

You mean your point that this head popping thing actually happened, or that some of the figures are "flimsy" and made of "cheap" vinyl?

He even knows how they were made! Also, the 56 Rodan head bobbling is just another case in point to this! The main Y-MSF distributor for the USA is a close personal friend and he know of these problems with the toy line!

Ok.

Your point? You're just repeating yourself here.

Like I've been saying, dont like 'em, dont buy 'em. If the mere existence of these toys is enough to foster such venom, then you guys need to go get some air or something.

Godzilla 2000, Its obvious that you have no clue, especially if you don't know who is main distributor of Y-MSF Toys in the USA. Its one man! Do your homework! No one on here should have to hold your hand and give you names! :(

We're gonna have pizza with this guy in a couple weeks. Doesn't his sister manage a strip joint?

Maybe I'm misinformed.

Ah, Tony at Temptingtoys. I almost forgot about him.

But then, I really dont trust Tony's word after that whole "im selling obvious bootlegs as the real deal" thing. But if Tony was witness to this whole head popping thing, I would like to see what he has to say. A little proof, that's all I asked for.

But (again) what would this single, isolated indecent prove? It's still not indicative of all Y-MSF figures. And I'm still finding it hard to believe a Megalon head would just pop off unless the inner ring was completely cut off, or something.

Yes, Tony is correct answer as the distributor. He is aware of the problems in the toys, but was not at Frank Son Show when the popped off Megalon's head. Another major collector here was, and is a long time Godzilla fan! A legendary collector in the LA area!
BTW Godzilla 2000, alot of the people your posting against on this thread have been friends in Godzilla collecting world for near 20 years, some longer. We know who is who in vinyl, and not just living it thru our computers! :)

There is no use. He simply does not believe you. So just move on.
Does it not tell you something, that of all the Dealers at G Fest, only one carries Y-MSF ? Many carry Bandai and have done so for years. He also does not know us personally, but argues as if he knows more about the business than we do. I don't want to argue.
I made my point. Showed my opinion.

Ok, but that still doesnt lend any more credibility to your story. :|

That's great and all, but I could honestly care less what the "collecting elite" think.

Sure, I care to an extent when they badmouth something I like, but at the end of the day, nothing changes; I still like Y-MSF figures and I still think they're neat.

Could they be better? Yeah. But so could a lot of figures. And we dont live in Could-Land. Me, I'm perfectly happy with my Megalon and Rodan. I feel like I got my money's worth, and I'm looking to pick up one or two more soon, hopefully.

If you dont like them, then by all means, continue not liking them. I would just appreciate it if some of the haters would get over it and lay off already.

Like Trendmasters and Bandai Creation, I think Y-MSF gets too much hate. That's just my opinion.

I'm interested in seeing what Y-MSF can do with the DBZ prototypes that are up on the website.

IF they get released.

Debating on picking up a transparent Godzilla or two still.... Just debating, that price tag...

Ok, so someone I spoke with on KaijuCollector said they talked to Fumiaki on Facebook.

Well I just got done having a chat with Mr. Kawakami (the genius who sculpts the Y-MSF figures) on Facebook. He showed me some pictures of Hedorah figures. I tried to convince him to release Muruchi, but he can only produce two figures a year and Y-MSF is his hobby job and he had two figures already planned kind of...

Flying Hedorah will be released in July is what the plan is.

So Flying Hedorah seems to be the next release.

But...

As for this next figure. Mr. Kawakami ask me for the December release figure he didn't know what figure to release Ebirah or 60's Radon so he asked me which one and sorry Ebirah fans I said 60s Radon so go ahead and put this guy on your Christmas list.

...this dude decided to suggest the 60's Rodan instead of what would be a completely new and much needed figure. -_-

No ballpark release date, though. We'll see soon, I guess.

Ya know, I remember the Gargantuas prototypes..

I know the Y-MSF releases are twice a year, so.... One July, one the other month.

Wow, if this pans out to be true I am 100% with you... what a wasted opportunity. I would actually buy the Ebirah if it ever makes it into production.

Good. The '68 Rodan is a fairly nice sculpt and one I would actually buy. Ebirah may underrepresented but the Y-MSF prototype looks like a turd.

Look out, we got a badass here.

Believe me Bandit, we're well aware of the elitism in this collecting niche...

So one figure's head popped off one time at this one place where this one guy was there to see it...? M'kay. Must be a problem with the entire line, no doubt about it.

I really dont see the point in dragging out a dead argument you weren't even involved in, especially just to be snide, considering the topic has clearly moved on.

A couple of us were talking about the Ebirah, and I'd really dig a 6" Ebi. I would just prefer it if the antennae were a bit thinner... but I'd imagine they wouldn't hold up too well that way. As someone pointed out, though, it does lack the trademark spikes/spines on his back.

The '68 Rodan IS a nice sculpt, now that I look at it again, though. I just hope it doesnt hit at $60 like all the others.

I wonder why he limits himself to two figures a year. Surely three or four wouldn't be bad.
