seriously? $15 for ONE 3 inch tall non articulated toy godzilla? I got a box of 9 TM 3 inch figures for $30. That's about $4 per figure.

I agree with this. Some of those are just stupid.

While I do enjoy them a whole lot, I think I paid a little bit too much for my Y-MSF Megalon and Kumonga. I think it was about $64 overall, while I think the air should be about $55 at max.

...wait did you just compare TM (Trendmasters) to Bandai gashapons? Because Bandai gashapons, unlike TM figures were available in vending machines and were only available for short amounts of time. That TM shit littered clearance shelves for mooooonths.

You're absolutely correct, Wataru, but that wasn't his point. His point was about the price.

Im sorry, but it's still wrong.

TM figures were mass produced for a US release and were readily available for a large amount of time.

Bandai Gashapons were produced for vending machines for very short amounts of time. If you have a Bandai distribution license (which alone is over $5000) you could MAYBE import a few complete runs (which ran for $30+ retail for 5-6 figures).

Gashapons werent made for here in the US. Theyre going to cost more because there arent as many, and you have to import them through smaller distributors.

And not a single gashapon sized TM toy looks anywhere as good as the Bandai Gashapons.

So...for what they are, they're overpriced, right?

$46 marked down from $60 is STILL a rip-off. Some convince me I am wrong.

I dont think theyre $10+ each in Japan. But to import them, you're going to eat it because the import/wholesaler is going to jack up the price, and then the retailer is going to jack it up.

You're not, but why complain about a product you'll never buy anyway? And why does anyone need to convince you you're wrong? Who's opposing you in that regard? Oh right, no one.

Like seriously, has ANYONE bought the octopus and sea snakes? Anyone at all?

If you want to harp on Y-MSF, then do it. But dont create this false idea that all Y-MSF fans want to buy sea snake figures for $50.

I admit, I would kind of like to own those sea snakes; they would be a good "minor kaiju" to back up my collection.

...But I doubt they're worth any more than $10 for the both of them.

Well I'm just going to go ahead and say this, Tempting Toys has the Y-MSF Megalon for $70. I was originally going to buy it there, then a bid on Ebay for $30 popped up. I'm happy with the $30 spent, but really, that's how much it should cost. It feels hollow and weak, $70 is just too much.

Why two snakes when there was only one in the movie?

Here's a thought: perhaps Y-MSF should take the sea snakes, Giant Octopus, rock(s), maybe add another minor kaiju like Giant Condor as well as some trees and/or buildings, and release them all together as an "accessories pack", or something like that.

The price should probably still be lowered a little, but at least then it would be more worth the money.

But who really wants an accessories pack? I mean who would waste their money on-

Ok, so if you think something is overpriced, isn't it buyer beware?
For example, Ebay has alot of good toys up there that are fair priced, and some not so much.
Finding a toy that is out of stock might cost a little more than one that is still being made.
Knowing your market is the real key to collecting. If I want an old Godzilla figure, I will pay more than average cost depending on its rarity and condition!

It's always buyer beware. However, if you have the money and the inclination, why not?

That said, I REALLY wish I could find a Y-MSF Kumonga for under $60.

$60 for Megalon I can kinda justify to myself, but I'm basically paying that for a giant spider toy with a fancy name.

Curses.

^ He's been up there at $500 for a long time know. In fact, the $500 BC figure is practically the poster boy for insane eBay listings. If sellers had a lick of sense, they could do a ten-second search and see what others are selling for, then realize how nuts their asking price is. Instead, they just keep it up there, year-after-year, waiting for an idiot to stumble in and buy it.

By the way, this guy has four available at $34.95:

Hm...maybe I should buy the $500 one anyway.
