Anybody heard any word if Marmit plans on doing a Shin Gojira figure?

IIRC, Marmit is unable to make new molds.codycameron09 wrote:Anybody heard any word if Marmit plans on doing a Shin Gojira figure?

It's because of Bandai, I don't know the details but they've blocked them from making new molds somehow.MM Raids Again wrote:IIRC, Marmit is unable to make new molds.codycameron09 wrote:Anybody heard any word if Marmit plans on doing a Shin Gojira figure?

Sunguts has been able to do 1-day licenses for Kamata-kun and Shinagawa-kun molds. But it may be that other companies so far aren't willing to invest in a sculpt that can't be sold more widely.

And here I thought I had enough Shins.
Of course, this one looks like it's going for a pretty penny. Here's to hoping they do plenty of variants!

I hope I’ll bw able to get my hands on this. If I can only have one Marmit in my collection, this is it.
I will explain slowly why you are wrong.

I have to admit, when I was younger I thought these figures looked stupid as hell. Now I really dig how stylized and retro they look with their bright color schemes. What're the best sites to pick these up from?

and it will be the same thing. WonFest exclusive - Limited 100.Godzillian wrote:the mold will get used again, nothing wrong with an exclusive
As much as a meme it is for recycling molds, they still have a library of releases that were exclusively limited (from what I can tell) or 1 time release. I don't see it being the case with Shin - but the only movie accurate color will probably be the exclusive.

Good to take note of statements like this that are proven to be misleading. There may be some limitations to licensing, but as I said when I pointed out Sunguts's recent stuff, it is still possible to do at least licenses for event releases.Godzillian wrote:It's because of Bandai, I don't know the details but they've blocked them from making new molds somehow.MM Raids Again wrote:IIRC, Marmit is unable to make new molds.codycameron09 wrote:Anybody heard any word if Marmit plans on doing a Shin Gojira figure?
Marmit Shin Godzilla is looking pretty cool. I really hope it sees a lot of festival releases and hopefully production in larger numbers.

Re: Marmit Monster Heaven Appreciation Thread
So it's been almost a year since buying it, and I still absolutely love the Marmit Vinyl Wars Godzilla 1962.
SO my question is what other figures from Marmit are along the lines of this one? Any suggests for figures that compliment this one nicely? Any recomendations?

From what I can tell, Marmit had a "semi-real" sub-line based on build-up kits they had previously released, including Godzilla 1964, 1972, and other monsters such as Anguirus, Gigan, and Hedorah. Sadly, I don't think any of these fine-looking figures got the Vinyl Wars treatment.

Re: Marmit Monster Heaven Appreciation Thread
To my knowledge the KingGoji was a semi-realistic reissue. They had a Burning Godzilla in the "realistic line" that I THINK got issued twice now that was part of their vinyl wars. One towards the start and I think one right about now.Rody wrote:From what I can tell, Marmit had a "semi-real" sub-line based on build-up kits they had previously released, including Godzilla 1964, 1972, and other monsters such as Anguirus, Gigan, and Hedorah. Really wish Marmit would try and do more build up kits in the same style. Some quality work.
