I'd recommend considering him to others but I know Marmit's Spacegodzilla isn't (mostly) everyone's cup of tea or hell, Spacegodzilla in general.

Ew. Marmit. Too cartoon. Too cartoonish. Can't be taken seriously.

Who ever fucking says that is a fucking moron. These figures sculpts are amazing.

It's funny, I used to think that way. I only collected realistic looking Godzilla figures growing up. But the older I got, the more I started to really appreciate the retro looking, stylized, marmit figures. I love them now. Can't get enough of them!

This lovely beast was waiting for me today after work:

At last I can join the Marmit appreciation club! despite the stock images, the color scheme looks pretty nice in person: it's sort of a dark sea-green with splotches of blue-gray. I admit, in the wrong lighting and angle, one might think the figure looks dirty or something; but I think it's a nice, subdued scheme for Goji, and it works extra well with the golden yellow fin highlights.

It's my first Marmit, and my first Mosu-Goji; and I'm absolutely delighted to have him. :huge:

No - not at all.

I've been wanting to see Marmit try their hand at the 2014 Godzilla design and Shin. If memory serves, something about Bandai having a strangle hold on new sculpts - not for sure, just something I heard. I'd love too love to see Marmit do a Shin Godzilla.

A cool stylized Marmit would probably be the only figure of Shin I would NEED to get. I have 8 Marmit Godzillas right now and they all represent an era of Godzilla movies. 1954, 1964, 1967, 1968, 1974, 1995, 1999, and 2001. They're all lines up in a neat little row to show off the evolution of Godzilla so a Shin Godzilla figure is the next big step in the evolution. If they ever did a 2014 one as well, that would be awesome.

Hopefully Toho gets off their asses and allows these figures to be made.

^Plenty of repaints, not much in the way of new sculpts. There was a rumor of a desugoji from Gigabrain (with an unpainted prototype picture circulating) but nothing from Marmit since Orga. CCP has recently released two new stylized sculpts for G'54 and G'64 with teaser images of additional Godzillas from later in the series). Anraku Ansaku has done a Mothra larva (two variants) and Kilaaks (male and female variant) which is pretty cool. Right now Marmit, M1, Marusan, Hazawa Gumi and Gigabrain are only pumping out new paint variants.
